I'm not very good at this, but nobody else seemed to have anything for you, so maybe these will help. They're probably WAY TOO BIG, but you should be able to resize them easily.

Good lord, my parents are watching Love Actually for the billionth time.
I hated that movie...
Doesn't seem like many MoFos are going to see the Hunger Games, no reviews as of yet. I enjoyed the first to some extent but really didn't care for the second much at all. Trying to decide whether to see the third or not. The people that like and dislike these movies vary so greatly. For instance, both the Filmspotting guys liked it quite a bit. I am so torn. What to do?
Watched the movie but I don't have a skill for writing so didn't write a review.
Overall I disliked the movie. One of the problems is that they made the movie based on the most boring part of the book that could be simply skipped by putting some explanation at the beginning. Another thing is that they told the story from the main character's point of view, who complains and is weak and boring throughout the whole film to the point where she is annoying. What happened to the female warrior in the first film? Regret watching.

Thanks Gatsby. I am getting the feeling I am not going to like it. My mom and ex-wife didn't enjoy it and they are the types that enjoy almost everything. I may just wait and watch them both together next year.

I thought it was good, a solid 3.5 - about on par with the other two. But that's coming from someone who has never read the books and isn't enamored with Jennifer Lawrence. I saw it (and the other two) because my mom wanted to see it.
She came out of the theater angry at all things they changed when adapting it from the book.

The peeps complaining about the chaos during Christmas shopping don't know how lucky they are... at least that means they have the money. Look who doesn't.
Finally. Sitting in the theater waiting for Birdman to start. Have put this one off a few times in the last couple of weeks. Lets hope it lives up to my anticipation.
Lucky. I'm sitting in a waiting room waiting for my dad to get out of his appointment. Been an hour. Ugh.

I think I know one thing I'm getting. I think I'm getting an actual drawing table. :D I hope I'm correct. I really want one. I was going to buy one for myself, but I had my dad's wedding and I spent a lot of money then with Christmas I couldn't really afford to spend that amount of money on myself. It will make life so much easier.
We got my dad's wife one of those Kerig coffee makers. I guess she really wanted one, but now I want one too. I don't have a coffee maker and Tim just has an old crappy one.
I got all my Christmas shopping done today. It's easy when you like to buy people movies. :D

I got the first six volumes of Vampire Knight, a book on Japanese culture and the box set of Blood + for my friend's niece. She is going to be so happy. :) I also put a little card with the Vampire Knight books telling her that I will get her volume 7 in February and one every two weeks after that. The girl never has any books of her own other than those I and her uncle get her, so this way she can collect and have an entire set of something.

Then I snuck into another movie after my movie was over... the movie was animated. Something that was a classic. I can't remember what it was. But I got up and left because I couldn't actually see the movie. There was sound, but no visuals. And I said, "Well, I can't watch this!" So I left.

I got a message from him. It wasn't angry but we always got along. It was bizarre though, so I told Yoda about it so that if Guap did anything weird he would understand what was going on from the beginning.
There is something really wrong in his behavior. I knew he would be going behind the scenes because he seems unable to let his anger go. Maybe I missed some things because I don't read every thread, but this angry seems to be way out of proportion to anything that actually happened.

A lot. This site is very different than when I first joined. There are quite a few people I miss, but people have a tendency to stick around for the most part, so that's a good thing.
Some members aren't here much but poke their noses in once and awhile. (I'm looking at you, Toose! :)
On the other hand it's hard to believe that some members haven't been here that long. They've become such an integral part of the forum.

I have been up since 1700 yesterday (aka 5 PM). Worked from 2200 to 0600, drove to the airport, caught my flight to Atlanta, had to literally run to my terminal to barely make my flight to Dallas, caught a cab, checked into my hotel, confirmed where I needed to show up tomorrow for the final testing for the cops, unpacked my stuff, reserved a cab, and got changed into some comfy cloths.
After I get my pizza delivered and a nice shower I am gonna pass out. I have been up for 22 hours.

This.
Box Office Challenge is up for next round. Very simple premise and not very involved. If your interested but have questions, just PM me.

Surely you must have 10 billion more words to say about Swan's video.
It's been absolute chaos at my bit today. One of the houses on my street was on fire and it was madness. Smoke was absolutely billowing out of it and it was just a mass of sirens and flashing lights. In total I think there were 3 fire engines, 2 ambulances and 3 police cars.
Found out later that thankfully no-one died but apparently the fire tore through at an alarming speed and absolutely everything they had is gone; just completely destroyed. It would be a nightmare at any time but especially at Christmas it's just horrible.
The neighbourhood has had a collection for them so they can at least try and have something resembling a Christmas, get the kids presents etc.

It's odd how often you hear about fires around this time of year. I think it's partly to do with not much else happening in the news and drunken people cooking late at night. You usually hear dog bite stories around this time, too.
It's good that no one died. Were there injuries? It's nice that everyone had a whip round... Though it was in Scotland. How much can you buy with a pocket full of pennies? :p:D
This one is dedicated to JayDee.

I'm just trying to figure out my camera and the Adobe software. These aren't really meant to be anything legit. They're just me experimenting with this stuff. I basically go out and shoot a bunch of crap and then try to compile it into something.

I think it's partly because it seems so much more tragic when it happens at Christmas time and you know how the news loves bad news. If there's a house fire in May no one really cares. But if it's just before Christmas they can really mine the misery out of the story.
It's good that no one died. Were there injuries? It's nice that everyone had a whip round... Though it was in Scotland. How much can you buy with a pocket full of pennies? :p:D

I think a lot of the fires this time of the year are caused by the combination of Christmas trees and Christmas lights.

So... my dad had a stroke.
He's going to be okay. It was a very minor stroke - if there is such a thing - but he's been in the hospital since Friday evening. Cognitively, he's fine and physically he just has trouble walking and leans to the left. The doctors and physical therapist haven't yet decided when he's going to be released and they're not sure if he's going to be released to go home or if he'll need to be transferred to a rehab center for more intense physical therapy.
It's been weird and stressful but my mom seems to be taking it okay. We drove to the hospital this morning and she was waxing nostalgic about all the changes that have happened to the area since my parents moved here some 40 years ago. She pointed out to me where all the "t!tty" bars used to be (they're fruit stands now) and where the old drive in porn theater was. Ah, the good ol' days.

I'm so sorry, Miss Vicky.
I hope he gets to go home. I was in the rehab hospital for eight weeks and I couldn't even walk with a walker until I had only a week left, and then I was dead tired after about 5 minutes of full-time walking. I had great insurance but eight weeks is the max. Of course, part of my problem was being morbidly obese.
Good luck to your dad, your sex-obsessed mom :D and you.
That sucks, Vicky. I can't imagine what it's like having a stroke... hope your dad gets better fast.

Did you know that Rod Serling was responsible for the first television rerun?
After the first showing of Patterns, the studio received such positive feedback that it produced a repeat performance, the first time a television program had been shown again at the behest of the audience. Although successful shows had sometimes been recreated after two years or more, this was the first time a show was recreated exactly – with the same cast and crew – as it had been originally created.

I did and still am. My dad and his wife are still here so that is nice. We are all sort of watching tv today and hanging out as everyone is tired. Tomorrow and Sunday we will do some more things outside the house then Monday morning they go home.
This Christmas was really family oriented. We all went to Tim's parents house yesterday for awhile, so the families got to meet each other. My dad and I haven't always been able to spend Christmas together and I want to make sure that changes. They both already said they would come out again next year. Florida kind of makes me sad during Christmas because it's so warm but they loved being able to be outside and that we can go walking around so they would rather come here than us go there.
