I don't see the attraction with all these coffee shops. I once drank a cup if that Starbucks caffeine tar, it dehydrated me so badly I had to drink two pints of water, and my wee looked like motor oil.
If there were a better coffee place in town, I would go there. I recently tried this other place Karma Kreme but their coffee was horrible and the tables were too small. Plus the particular Starbucks I go to is mostly students and professors working on something, so it's quiet. I went to another Starbucks in town and it was full of moms and kids. Why you would want to take a child to a Starbucks is beyond me.
There is a place in this bookstore where I like to go sometimes. The problem is that the quality of coffee depends greatly on who is making it. It's kind of a fun place though. You can read their books for hours and all the nerdy alternative kids hang out there and play games. They are fun to eavesdrop on and it makes me nostalgic.
Yeah I go to Starbucks if I want a place to chill and use the wi-fi. I like their coffee but I am just as happy to get a cup from the Race-Trac(gas chain) for 1/3 of the price.

Free coffee is good.
I used to drink coffee. But not anymore. Unless it's the coffee in a java chip at Starbucks, or like, a mocha milkshake.

That's some real middle of nowhere stuff, you must be happy that the internet exists. Though, the only time I really go to the theater anymore is for special occasions, like retrospectives, so I generally always travel at least that far when I go to the theater. Plus, I often don't love my theater experiences, I'm never going to see a Linklater film in a theater again after the completely moronic audiences at both Boyhood and Before Midnight.

I hated the movie that character is from so consequently I didn't like the scene. Jaydee shined a little different light on it though. Has me thinking maybe it was not that bad. All these scenes are 30 seconds so I guess in the grand scheme they don't matter much.

Next time Guaporense should nominate Castle in the Sky or Princess Mononoke. I. Haven't seen those and would like to. I'm sure UTENA is painful, one of my last 4. How many u got left Sean?
I thought that PMMM was significantly better than Utena. PMMM was longer and clunkier, but Utena was downright cringeworthy through most of it
4 after this. I want to rewatch Ed Wood and Synechdoche though.
I swear Guap did this on purpose. Have you watched this thing yet?

While I was in the mood to try and watch films I had no interest in otherwise when I tried to take part, I thank my lucky stars that the films chosen were, for the most part, films I'd either seen or at least had some interest in. The other three tournaments have been much worse, from my pov.

Sadly I haven't been. The dog bit probably comes from worrying about my dog because she had been sick. The Japanese part might come from Guapo being upset about the West not watching more anime. And the Buster Keaton shorts comes from our exchange regarding him earlier...but what a weird way for it to manifest in my dream. I wasn't sure if I dreamed the Buster Keaton thing or if I actually went to his page and saw that. It took me a few minutes and a couple clicks to realize that I was just being dumb.

I'm definitely more of a fantasy/dream guy. I love surrealism. Anyone who knows the kind of movies I love knows that. I even love ambiguity for ambiguities sake. I sometimes really hate going to sleep because of dreams. Even though I know it'll all be over quickly because I'll be asleep, I sometimes really don't wanna dream because of what might happen in them. Every night, if you're a regular dreamer, you get caught up in these random dramas that you believe are real when they're happening. I don't like that. I don't like the fact that it's REQUIRED that you go to sleep and have these ... hallucinations... that you think are real.
Sometimes they're good dreams and it's fun. That'll make me want to dream again the next day. But sometimes you have these stressful dreams and you can FEEL the stress as they happen. I hate those and it makes me wish we didn't have to dream. Ever.
I hate the dreams that you wake up from and make you feel sad the rest of the day.

There is a digestion issue going on with both parts of your dream. First your dog is pooping worms, then Buster Keaton's short film filmography is being lumped together (digested) into one single thing.
Maybe you feel like you just can't do enough for your dog. Maybe you fear your dog will die and you're helpless to do anything about it. Or you're upset because you feel like you haven't spent enough time with your dog. You want more time.
Maybe you feel guilty. Maybe you don't spend enough time with your dog. Maybe you focus too much on movies and other things and it takes away from loving your dog, loving other people, etc.
Since all the short films were lumped together into one thing, maybe you merely wish to manage something into one easy, condensed thing. Perhaps having so many different things is pointless to you. You would rather have something all-in-one. And maybe you wish for that to be ... something different. Or maybe the issue is hard to understand and foreign, like Japanese.
What does Buster Keaton represent to you?
