Hannibal really isn't anything in Manhunter. He's a plot device. Frankly I like him more like that. :D Never given a crap about that character and Hopkins' performance is so ridiculous I've always been baffled as to how anyone would be scared by him.

I think with Hopkins its the beady eyes.. and the salacious grin. With Mikkelsen, its the silence.

I was telling Captain Spaulding the other day that -- if we never meet each other -- we're all just basically like imaginary friends to each other here. I mean, yes, we're all real people, and we can even see pictures of each other and stuff -- but basically, if we never meet, then we all just kinda live in each other's minds. Like imaginary friends. Vanilla Sky was a poor remake of a decent Spanish film. Almost Famous is a lovely film.

I used to suffer from horrendous insomnia. The doctor gave me sleeping pills, they didn't work, so I just took 3 Diazepam every night before I went to bed..that worked.:D

You're probably better off just laying there until you go to sleep. It might take 30 minutes, it might take a few hours, but that's what I do. Unless your mind won't shut up. Then you might be better just reading or something.

I think I stayed awake for over 48 hours straight once. I wasn't drunk either. Do you work shifts, Swan? That could be ruining your sleep patterns. I used to work nights and I just couldn't get to sleep when I finished.

I think my lamp is haunted. The first bulb I tried to put in it blew up. I thought the lamp was gone after that, but its evil endured. The second bulb burnt out in a few hours, and the third went pop last night. It reminds me of the possessed lamp in Amityville horror part 4.

Diphenhydramine is used to prevent allergies from flaring up. It's a pity you're not a mental alcoholic like me, you could get much stronger sedatives that will put you to sleep.. almost permanently .:cool:
