100% agree.. she's will land her butt in prison for years!!!!
Selling dead body parts.. thats something you do on the down low for extra cash....
Yep. Not sure I buy that it's that shady at all. Not yet, anyway. It's brand new news, we still have to find out more.
Here's Planned Parenthood's response.
Planned Parenthood has responded to the video and is denying any involvement in the sale of fetus body parts. Instead, the organization claims that it often donates tissue for scientific research with the full consent of its patients. The agency also notes that the costs to transport the tissue is often reimbursed, which is not uncommon in the medical field.
“A well funded group established for the purpose of damaging Planned Parenthood’s mission and services has promoted a heavily edited, secretly recorded videotape that falsely portrays Planned Parenthood’s participation in tissue donation programs that support lifesaving scientific research. Similar false accusations have been put forth by opponents of abortion services for decades. These groups have been widely discredited and their claims fall apart on closer examination, just as they do in this case,” said Eric Ferrero, Planned Parenthood’s Vice President of Communications in a written statement.
The video honestly seems kind of... you know... edited to make it seem a certain way. I'm not sure it's 100% truthful.

Man, that sucks about Planned Parenthood. I hope they refund my order. :(
Ended up watching Mama, so I didn't listen to you guys at all :p. I liked it. It was a pretty standard ghost story but fairly well executed. My only problem was its reliance on jump scares those very rarely work now, and the only one I think could've a friend had shown me on YouTube. There was a few baffling things about the end. SPOILERS like how no one cared about cool uncle Luke getting knocked out , or how Luke didn't even ask about Lilly when he regained consciousness. Don't even get me started on how he just ran in front of the car :D.
Other than that I enjoyed it, it wasnt scary but nothing is nowadays. The creepiest thing was the sounds Mama was making when the psychologist went to the cabin.
Man, that sucks about Planned Parenthood. I hope they refund my order. :(

She said she had just lost her husband recently and the cat was her last friend in the world. This has effected me greatly...

Yeah, there was a story that appeared not too long ago -- a widow whose husband had died a few years ago from a car accident, I believe -- her whole life was her dog that she got after her husband died -- then she took the dog to a pet grooming business, and they accidentally killed the dog by leaving it in some kind of dryer for too long. She said the dog was her whole world.

Criterion Collection is a company that released arthouse/classic/obscure movies on DVD and blu-ray. Perks are really great packaging, high quality video and audio transfer, and usually a plethora of special features.
And now I just know honeykid and/or Miss Vicky are gonna come in and make some witty comment dissing them. :p

Eh, Criterions are nice, but they're not worth the cost in most cases. Also that "great packaging" often takes up too much damn space on my shelf (see Persona). A lot of people treat them like status symbols and will buy movies because they're on Criterion. I only buy them if I can't get a particular movie on another format.
I do wish they'd release Allegro Non Troppo, though.

Certain Criterion titles I buy, the rest I watch on Hulu. Unlimited access for 8 bucks a month. And they have most of their titles on it. Lots of Kurosawa, Bergman, etc. I pick up the ones they don't stream that I want to see. And that is where the Barnes and Noble sale usually comes in. But I will never use their website ever again since it turns out both my orders went through, I got charged twice, and for whatever reason I can't get the return labels emailed to me.

Not to bring this depressing subject up again, but I watched Dreams of a Life three days ago and instantly visited a family member who could fall under the lonely bracket. It wasn't a pity visit I really love her, and I feel ashamed that it was a documentary that made me finally visit her again. That is just too expensive. I'm not paying 25 bucks for The Game and its "fancy packaging" bs

Go on.. I don't think i've ever touched the special features on any movie I've seen.
Well, if you're interested in filmmaking, commentaries and behind-the-scenes features are incredibly informative and, much of the time, fun. And Fincher is great when it comes to commentaries.

Criterion is packed to the gills with extra features. Commentaries, interviews, photo galleries, a booklet of some kind for some films. If you love extra features in movies Criterion is where it is at.
Speaking of which, I would love for Criterion to release Stalker on Blu Ray.

At first, I thought 'died' means he simply ceased to visit MoFo, but then Googled his nickname only to find the R.I.P. thread. Terrible. I don't think we ever spoke to each other, but the fact a guy that was posting on a forum I'm posting on died really struck me. Probably the first time in my life this happens. On a forum i was an Admin at there was a guy who was very sick, but he didn't die and I believe won with his sickness! I don't even know what happened to Deadlite, but that really sucks. I just realized that if I died nobody would even update you guys on what happened to me. ;(

She'll be back. But seriously, I don't understand why she got angry. Those "jokes" directed at her was fun to me, but also weak in terms of actual insulting. I've tried to tell her she should lighten up when people crack jokes, I've even been hard on her in the past but all for fun and games of course, and I tried to tell her she should just smile about it and know that I'm only joking.
And RIP Deadite. A guy I never got to know, but he seemed like a great person. I actually thought it was more than one year ago. I'm sad either way.

I had fun with it, although mostly I laughed at my own joke in response to it all. I think she got upset because there was a history, not just the one joke by itself.

I think I've discovered the secret to getting rid of a headache fast -- EAT MORE FOOD.
Try it. If you feel a headache coming on, get yourself some food. Get something good and substantial -- an actual meal, with meat and everything. If you're getting a headache, your body's probably hungry, whether you realize it or not.
I went through all of that hassle to sign up and get approved for model mayhem so I could find an actress okay with being topless on film.
And then what happens.. I get my actress through Facebook instead. What a waste of time and effort lol.
But it looks like I finally have my actress. I hope she doesn't flake, putting together a superhero outfit for her is going to be expensive and laborious.
She has no idea that she just signed up to be in a masterpiece and my final short film, the only thing I'm trying to do with my life. I don't want to freak her out or come on too strong.

You can have them during the day.
I've got so much money to throw around I spend hundreds of thousands on lights and generators. I light up nighttime so It looks like day on film, this way I don't have to worry about as much noise polluting my production dialogue tracks or people bothering us while we film on location.

No one makes any money off short films unfortunately.
I've never paid to see a short film in my life and I don't think any of my friends have either.
My old short films were to gain experience.
This one I'm putting together now is my final short film, hopefully it can win some awards and provide the ability to network and make a feature.
But most likely it'll just be the end for me. I just want to make something beautiful before i die.

Makes me glad I have an apartment to myself. I don't have to share the bathroom, the fridge is all mine, and pants are optional! :D

Does anyone else here like Emo music?

Anyone here ever watched any of the Up Series? I stumbled upon seven up about a week ago and have found them really addictive. Ive already watched up to 35 up, at the end of each one I just really want to know what is happening with them seven years from now, especially Neil, Tony and Bruce.
For anyone who hasnt watched or heard of them. It is basically a british documentary that started in 1963, they filmed 15 seven year olds from most types of background (rich, poor, etc) asked them various questions then hey return every seven years to see their progress. Some have dropped out at certain points but most have stuck with it, the most recent was 56 up in 2012.
I can't believe I'm wearing flip flops.

Up is a really interesting series of films. Such an ambitious project, too, and I love that it's still going. I'm bang up to date. :D

I got too 21 and kind of lost interest, but it's a cool concept

21 was the point it grabbed my interest, I felt 7 and 14 while cute and reminding me a lot of my friends and me felt a lot more boring and pointless as a few of them commented in 14. 21-35 was from university age to approaching middle age. Tony and Neils transformations over those three were enough to have me interested.
