That's great, love Cooper as well, but I was always more fond of the darker stuff, rather than the soap opera and comedic/quirky stuff. I think the season finale of the second season is the best episode in the whole series, and one of the best things Lynch has ever done. Lynch's episodes are the best ones in general

A large part of the reason why I've been missing is my ongoing health issues with my stomach that I've mentioned before. Been having a bad time with it and that in turn has caused my already fragile mood to just nosedive. I was actually at the gastroenterologist in the middle of the week there so hopefully I'll have some kind of answer and help soon. Been scheduled for a few procedures. I'm getting two tubes down my nose. The first will be coming right back out but the second will be left in for 24 hours to measure the acid levels in my stomach. Will be taped to the side of my face and I'll have some kind of monitor on my belt or wrist. And then after that I need to get a colonoscopy. :eek:

So I'll be having a lot of fun in a few weeks time!

I only got into it like a month ago. JayDee challenged hk and me to each watch at least two episodes in the MoFo Challenge Thread. I ended up binge watching the entire series. I've thought about buying the DVDs, but I've promised myself I'd stop buying TV shows on DVD because I tend to binge watch them, then stick them on the shelf and not watch them again.

I really don't care for the fantasy elements, but really enjoy Tyrion and some of the other characters.

I admit The Office isn't, like, the same level as that stuff. But I have a very personal connection with it. It got me through a very hard time. Plus, I've gone through the series quite a few times and still haven't tired of it.

I used to say Breaking Bad was my favorite show, because it's probably the best I've seen in terms of quality. But since my breakdown and seclusion when I turned to The Office to keep me company and keep my hopes high, well, that made it more than a TV show for me.

I wasn't too happy with the first episode of "Louie" - the first two seasons were great. Then he takes a long hiatus under the guise of making it "better" - he took the stand-up out, and it was mostly crass.... I used to watch "Always Sunny..." but it started getting to a point where I stopped watching.

I think Peep Show has been the best show in ages even though it's been over for a while.

It was the end of Season 2 for me, ever since he abandoned all hope and religion during the first Season, he's got a lot more interesting. Also his getting with Ava added to that, since the moment I heard her speak I thought she should head a brothel :D .

I actually think Boyd may have became more popular than Raylan with most people, since unless it was just me Boyd was featured a lot more in Season 5 than Raylan.

I love Ned Stark, I think he'll be a valuable character throughout the series. I'm 8 episodes in, I can't wait to see how this character develops. Sean Bean doesn't a great job. So excited to keep watching Game of Thrones.

Has anyone been tempted into watching the first 4 episodes of GoT season 5 since they leaked? I have to admit to being tempted but am showing some restraint just to watch them 'properly'.

Oh and my favourite characters are Tyrion, Daenerys and Arya. I also rather enjoy the antics of Ramsay Snow/Bolton for just how damn twisted and insane he is

I'm with you on Bran and would have perhaps agreed with you on Sansa right up until the last episode of season 4. Seeing that performance she gave recounting the death of her aunt, and then coming down the stairs looking all femme fatale, felt like a real rebirth for her. Curious to see where she goes from here. She's had so much misery in her life and been around so many liars and bullsh!tters in her life that it all seems to have rubbed off on her.

For me the least interesting storyline has been the Baratheons and their fire witch/lord of light lassie - can't remember her name right now. It's a storyline that's just never grabbed me

That surprises me. I thought GoT's mix of blood, gore, sex etc would make it right up your street. You know with you being so freaky and all. :p

And I'm also looking forward to Hannibal coming back. I liked the first season well enough but then about halfway through the second season I realised I had kind of fell in love with it. The increasingly twisted relationship between Hannibal and Will just became so compelling to me

None of this looks good, but the truth is when something like this has happened and the fear/excitement/adrenaline is coarsing through the veins, this is a common way of acting. It sounds and looks callous, but I've been with people after horrible accidents (car crashes and blade/impale injuries) and the adrenaline and shock will have them acting 'normal' or joking, making light of what's happened. "It's fine", "you all look more scared than I am" is often along the lines of what I've heard. Once what's happened has sunk in and/or when the adrenaline stops, it's usually very different. Anger, fear and crying has been my experience. I've no reason to think that those were unusual or exceptional reactions.

This isn't to say he was or wasn't right in what he did or how he acted, but when we forgot that we're all human, regardless of what we do, wear or think, we forget that in/after a similar incident, we may well act the same way, as would our friends and loved ones and that it might not look good to others/the media.

I do think that not being briefed straight away is a strange way of doing things. Especially when the other officer recommended jotting a few things down.
