Rewatching The Wrong Trousers. As you can see, that penguin is clearly the greatest villain in the history of penguin villains. This includes but is not limited to Danny DeVito. I do love me some Danny DeVito though, so don't get it twisted.

I've long considered this my favorite classic Disney film, but I need to answer the question of whether it's truly one of my all time favorite animated films.
I may follow it up with a sixties flick as well.
Jackie Brown. Trying to figure out why I dislike it so much considering who made it.

It's slower than his other films (except forDeath Proof) and the time structure doesn't work as well as in Pulp Fiction.
Still a good film, in my opinion, though. I like it a lot.

Based on what I've read about it, I don't have high hopes for this movie, but I like Buddy Hackett, and with him, Mickey Rooney, and Jackie Cooper in it, I have to at least give it a chance for my 1961 list.

I'll hopefully be watching The Rocky Horror Picture Show tonight.
I was in Paris about a week ago and I was visiting this incredible little bookshop called Shakespeare & Company (as much as I like film, books will always be my no. 1 passion) Anyway, there was this dude and this girl at the cash register and the girl kept asking the guy to play the soundtrack to the movie and he did and they started dancing and singing along like a bunch of loonies and it was all just brilliant and made me really want to watch the film and that story was 100% uncalled for but it made me so happy and I had to share it with someone so there ya go.
I'm debating between PMMM part 2: Eternal and The Passion of Joan of Arc. The first one is for my animation list and I've been on the library waiting list for Passion for ages now. If I'm not not too tired I might watch both.

There's currently one film on my list that I watched specifically for the countdown. I plan to rewatch all of the old favorites on it before I finalize it, just to be sure they really belong there.

The only two films i've watched for this list are on my provisional list, but it's still early days and i have been watching alot of documentaries lately.

I would probably agree. Quite unconventional, not only in its subject matter but also storytelling, editing etc. a few weird psychedelic scenes and the whole thing surprised me a little, I liked it a lot though.

I think I'm also right in saying Midnight Cowboy is the only X rated film to win best pic? Unless my memory is failing me.

Another Hitchcock. I am going to try and watch as much of his filmography as I can whilst I am in the mood. He is a legend and probably the greatest director to have ever lived, I watch his films now and I can't help but admire his brilliance in so many ways, frame by frame, the techniques he employed, a fantastic visual artist and story teller, there is so much to learn just from watching his films.

I'm about to start watching this. I usually don't like horror but I like Cronenberg for some reason. I think I read somewhere that there's a scene where a woman eats her after birth, and if that happens I'm probably going to turn it off. Still, I hope it's good.

Buster Keaton is one of those great directors I've heavily neglected. Seriously need to check out more of his films, so this is the next one up.
That one's good Lucas, though not one of his best.

Easily the best of the Iron Man turds.

Easy, Iron Man (1) didn't want to make me commit suicide or mass genocide.

Better than the last segment of Three Times significantly, but far weaker than his other two of the decade. Interesting to note that James Udden (author of the best English language book on Hou) sees it as something of a return to his 1970s work in commercial filmmaking (as an assistant director).

I'm not a fan of it, personally (I don't dislike it, it's just not one of my favorites), but that's definitely requisite animation viewing.

That's because it's kinkier (and requires far less of a historical perspective and interest as well as repeated viewings).

Between around 1985 and about a year ago, I think the only animated movie I saw was South Park.
