I'm already 25 minutes into it and it's great so far. He goes to the cinema to watch Sonny Chiba triple feature and later on he watches Better Tomorrow II on TV. If it wasn't written by Tarantino I'd be the worst mindf*ck yet.
Why? I can't make any sense of that comment.

Now that I read it I can't make any sense of it neither. What I meant is I'd be shocked to find out it wasn't written by Tarantino.

Contrary to what others might think (IE post Batman and Robin), Joel Schumacher has the ability to make a good movie. He made A Time to Kill, Falling Down, Lost Boys, and he also made this. The critics hated it but I liked it.

The Sopranos was the first show I ever binge watched. The term binge watching didn't even exist when I started watching the Sopranos (the show was still on TV) and because of that, I felt a tremendous amount of guilt over it. It's my favourite TV show of all time and I binge watched the entire series again just recently. I really, really envy you. If you like mafia movies, you almost certainly will adore The Sopranos.

I'm not a fan of The Rocky Horror PIcture Show, but if this is your first time watching it, you should NOT watch it alone. That's a movie that should be seen in a crowded movie theater with a bunch of people who have seen it 100 times or more.
Hopefully someone who's a fan of the movie will come along and explain it better than I can explain it.

I know the feeling. When I was living by myself, scheduling what to watch was easy. With somebody else - even if we agree in advance what the plan is - coordinating that extra schedule often leads to a change of plans.

I envy you. I love the movie, and I've probably seen it over 100 times, but I wish I could go back in time and watch The Wizard of Oz for the first time.

I'm very interesting in hearing what you think of this, with such a totally different cultural background to myself. I always watched it around Christmas growing up, and think I have seen it at least once every year, it's kind of an American family classic, so with you being Danish, quite old for a first time viewing, and having quite artistic tastes, I am looking forward to hearing what you think!

This is one of my favorite movies, and one of Robin Williams best movies.
Norman Lloyd, who played Mr. Nolan in Dead Poets Society just turned 100 years old yesterday. :)

Started it a while back but turned it off about 20 minutes in for whatever reason and just never went back to it. The only thing I really remember about it is finding Andy Devine's character incredibly aggravating. .

It definitely is. I think perhaps due to the style of humour that is sometimes subtlety incorporated into the dialogue, it can be easy to miss some of the film's genius, but I remember watching the film twice in two days, once on my own and then with my brother. I thought it was great the first time, and knew I loved it the second.
