You know Apted died last year? So will there be 70 UP? The only person who could do it is a certain longtime producer of the show, but I don’t think anyone has committed so far though everyone agrees that this woman would be the most suitable.

Personally I would love 70 UP & then end it. All of them, cast & crew alike, are getting old & tired of the show.

I remember the day he died, and thought to myself they probably had a backup plan, and I think as time goes by, maybe one won't want to do it anymore, but maybe they would, who knows? There's a few who came back just to promote ... their band, their causes, and in the last 7 years, this is all people seem to do.

Didn’t like it the first time a long time ago. Re-visited it last year I think & found it noteworthy. Both leads are very good of course.

I don’t love it, it’s my least favourite Fincher film, but I think it’s pretty good (apart from the fact the break in happens on their very first night. And yes, I know this is tight plotting, but it’s still ridiculous). What it’s interesting to me is how Stewart went from such stuff to Twilight and then to independent.

Dead Poets Society.
I really hope i like this one. My grand father and my mother both comitted suicide. Both because of the same ilness.

After i learned about Robin Williams problems, it was really easy to see how tired he was in some of his standup shows. Ethan Hawke and Williams are two actors i like alot.

I wholeheartedly agree that red pandas are adorable. I did however detest the film.

When I watched Inside Out, I admired the concept (child emotions and all) and the execution, but upon reflection, I felt like Pete Docter had fallen into the trap of all parents whereby it becomes very much about trying to process the world either via the child or in terms of how the child perceives it.

I started watching Turning Red quite randomly last night, and for the first few minutes, I actually thought that was a Docter film too, as the focus on the female kid/adolescent was a decisive common factor, and this one seems far more sloppy and unoriginal than Inside Out.

I’ll give it a rewatch one of these days to see if it was simply the wrong day for it, but though it’s well-made animation-wise, as per usual for Pixar, I was massively disappointed. But of course speaking of red pandas exclusively, it’s very sweet and all.

Liked it well enough, but it’s so exhausting and predictable that old people always die in the end of a film if introduced in the beginning. Definitely the cliché that bugs me the most.

Oh, hell, this is phenomenal. Such a shame Arthur Penn has so few films.
The fish thing was very confusing but also why aren’t there any guns? How does anyone living in this snowy middle of nowhere not have a gun and use it to chase one’s prisoner around the house? They live far enough from anywhere to worry about anyone hearing gunshots.

I wrote here that it’s kinda nutty (to say the least), but it’s a relaxing watch. The dark-haired actress is very good. The other actress is good too. Didn’t get 127 vibes at all. Much better movie based on a true story & I’m a fan of Franco.

My noir of the night - A Touch of Evil - directed by Orson Welles. Welles also plays one of the lead characters, a blustering, corrupt cop in a border town on the Mexican border. Charlton Heston is made up to be "Mexican" and is his nemesis in the quest to solve a dramatic dynamite murder.

It's remarkable for the cinematography, strange camera angles, especially manipulated to make Welles's cigar chewing character look bloated and even more corrupt than he is. The best, remarkable sequence is the opening, a single shot that tracks actors around the busy town, done real-time, with dolly shots and cameras on cars. This is quite a piece of work.

With Pearl? A shame. What can you do, I kind of do anticipate being disappointed as well; all this prequel stuff is very hard to get right.

X was more of a fun watch. More killings. Pearl wasn't as good. The back story could have been more interesting, more gruesome. It was a bit silly in the way Ti West did it.

Black Christmas. Saw this one first time last year.

I felt i saw to few christmas movies last year. So i am starting with a couple a little early this year. When it is in the horror genre, it is an easy opening anyways.

The Blind Side
This is a can't-miss family movie. After all, EVERYONE seems to like inspiring family films--especially when it's based on real people. And, not surprisingly, I had a thoroughly good time watching it--though I do recommend you see it with a box of Kleenex nearby.
