Sidney cannot leave the house without answering the phone, which rings and rings.

She knows already who it is, I think.

Ghostface appears and chases Sidney around the sorority house.

Sidney finally makes it to Derek -- but then Derek goes back inside the house to go after the killer.

Dewey appears... goes inside the sorority house... looks around... finds Derek... on the floor, his arm slashed.

The sorority girls appear outside the house. "Is everything okay?"

The killer is gone.

Dewey helps Derek with his slashed arm.

Sidney stands watching, almost crying. Conflicted.

Mickey, the killer, has been interrogated, but was easily let off.

Mickey sits with a sad, upset Sidney and tries to comfort her at the campus hospital.

He puts the thought in her head -- "Why would anyone go back in that house anyway?"

Playing with Sidney's head. Trying to make her think that maybe Derek is secretly the killer.

Even Dewey is suspicious of Derek.

Gale and Dewey work with Chief Hartley at trying to find a connection between the murders.

Gale finds it -- the victims' names are very similar to the names of the victims in Woodsboro in the first movie. The killer is even killing them in order. He's a copycat.

Sidney is being trailed around by two male bodyguards. She walks with Derek around the college campus. She tells him it would probably be in his best interest if he stayed away from her. They sit down on a bench under a tree. Sidney doesn't want Derek to get hurt. "Derek, I'm serious... this is serious."

But Derek is suspicious that it isn't about his well being -- he feels that maybe Sidney just doesn't trust him. That maybe she thinks he is the killer.

Gale and Dewey are outside the police station. Gale's going to admissions to do legwork and wants Dewey to go with her.

Dewey says -- "I'll smile when I catch the killer."

Funnily enough, standing behind him, IS THE KILLER! Mrs. Loomis, in her Debbie Salt role. She bugs Gale again.

She makes a comment to the other reporters -- "If the killer is repeating Woodsboro, the killer may be from Woodsboro."

That's true -- she is from Woodsboro.

Looking back at this movie now, it seems like it's so obvious to tell who the killer is.

Sidney is in the cafeteria with her friends (except Randy, we're gonna see him in a minute eating with Dewey somewhere else).

Dewey starts serenading Sidney with the song, "I Think I Love You."

Right in the cafeteria, in front of everybody, Derek sings this song for Sidney. People clap. An Asian man (GONG!) slips money in Derek's pants.

Derek sits back down as he finishes the song. Everyone applauds. Mickey is all about it -- "Let's show a little love!"

Derek then does a big no no -- he gives Sidney his Greek fraternity necklace. His letters.

He says the necklace is good luck and will protect her -- and it will, later.

Tori Spelling is on a '90s television, being interviewed for Stab.

Stab is a horror movie based on the events of the first Scream movie. Gale Weathers wrote a book and it was turned into a movie. Tori Spelling plays Sidney in Stab.

Right now, they're showing a clip of Stab on a television show.

The clip is actually a clue about the killer's identity in Scream 2 -- it features Billy Loomis, and he mentions his mother. His mother is the killer in Scream 2.

Randy explains the rules of a horror sequel to Dewey.

1. The body count is always bigger.
2. More blood, more gore. "Carnage candy."

He starts to go into Rule 3, but Dewey stops him. I know what Rule 3 is, because it was in a trailer, even though it's not in the movie.

3. If you want your sequel to become a franchise, never, ever, assume that the killer is dead.

This is, I think, a clue about Scream 3. Originally, Matthew Lillard was supposed to appear in Scream 3 as Stu, the killer from the first movie, again. He was still alive. That didn't happen, though.

Randy talks about possible suspects.

1. Derek (but probably isn't him)

2. Mickey (who actually is the killer)

3. Themselves (Randy and Dewey)

4. Hallie (because she's not a white male. He references Mrs. Voorhees here, which is funny because the killer is actually Mrs. Loomis)

5. Gale Weathers (vicious opportunist conceiving her next book. But if Gale's not a killer, she's a target.)

Joel, Gale's black cameraman, has been reading Gale's book. He's very disturbed at the fact that her last cameraman got killed.

Gale tells him to just act like a professional cameraman and do his job. She tries to dazzle him with fame and doing national television.

We cut to the college theatre. Sidney is chatting with her theatre director, Gus (played by David Warner). She's playing Cassandra in a Greek tragedy play. Gus needs her for this.

Gus gathers everyone together for another rehearsal of Cassandra.

Sidney takes center stage, dressed in her red Cassandra costume as people around her -- in maroon robes and creepy masks (like Ghostface's) -- speak about her and dance around her. Sidney gives a little speech as Cassandra. Special effects -- lightning, thunder -- go off. Her director watches her.

A man - shirtless - wearing one of the strange Greek masks -- comes down tied up on a starry shaped thing that's levered down to the stage.

SIDNEY: "So now... fate's vengeful eye... is fixed... on ME."

(the man tied up is pointing at her)

THE OTHER DANCERS: "Tell us, oh, Cassandra! Where has the sweetness of life gone?!"

The other dancers in the play have fake knives pointed at Sidney.

It would have been so much better had they gone with Kevin Williamson's original idea for Scream 3. I see another symbolic hint to it -- there are many dancers in this play, who symbolize Ghostface, with their masks and fake knives. And they're all after Sidney, who is playing Cassandra. Scream 3 was supposed to feature at least 5 killers -- a group of people -- all trying to kill Sidney in the end. Kinda like this scene here where she is playing Cassandra.

While Sidney performs as Cassandra, she sees GHOSTFACE among the dancers!

But is it really him -- or is Sidney having a panic attack? Is she hallucinating? Losing her mind? Going crazy?

Gus, the director, ends the rehearsal. Hallie is seen. She was sitting in the audience watching Sidney perform.

The bubbly sorority girls, Lois and Murphy, were also performing in the play, wearing the Greek masks.

Sidney runs off stage and hides in the wings, where all the ropes, pulleys, levers are. Derek comes in. She has been crying. "Your escort has arrived!" But she wonders why it's not Mickey, who was supposed to meet up with her. "We swapped -- he had to edit (yeah, right)"

Things are not okay with Sidney. She needs her distance. She can't take all of this. She wants to be alone.

Derek has basically been told to go off alone, without Sidney. For now.

He, sadly, does what she tells him, and leaves.

Cut to outside the college campus, at a tree. Gale smokes. She sits with Dewey, Randy and Joel. Discussing the murders. Randy says the killer is trying to finish what was started. The phone keeps ringing. It's someone who works with Gale. A man. Bugging her. Her old cameraman is mentioned. This freaks out Joel, who leaves.

Ring, Ring. It's the killer. Randy answers.

"I'm not interrupting anything, am I? You three look deep in thought. Have you ever felt a knife cut through human flesh and scrape the bone beneath?" (evil laughter)

Gale and Dewey run off, looking for someone with a cell phone (back in those days, not everyone had a cell phone).

Randy is left chatting with the killer. He tries to find someone around him who might be the killer as well.

Gale takes a woman's cell phone away from her. The person on the other line is confused.

STRANGER: Who's this?

GALE: Gale Weathers! Author of The Woodsboro Murders.

Dewey has to hit Gale to let her know to shut up.

That has to be one of my favorite lines from this movie.

Gale and Dewey continue to look for the killer. They spot a suspicious man. Meanwhile, Randy is being taunted by the killer. "Why are you here, Randy? You'll never be the leading man. You'll never get the girl."

The suspicious man Gale and Dewey spotted is not the killer.

[Sexy Celebrity]

Randy makes insults about the killers from the previous movie -- including Billy Loomis.

Suddenly, from out of a van, GHOSTFACE APPEARS! Grabs Randy. Pulls hims inside the van (Gale's news van).

STABS RANDY TO DEATH.

Ghostface exits the van, looks at Randy's dead body left there... from below the van, we see the killer remove his/her robe (and Ghostface mask, too, though we don't see that). The killer shuts the van door and (we see his boots) casually walks away. On campus. In broad daylight.

The suspicious man Gale and Dewey found gets back on his cell phone. From the conversation he's having, we hear that he's talking to his MOTHER.

Another clue about the killer's identity. Mother. As in Mrs. Loomis.

Gale and Dewey wonder about Randy. Gale doesn't see him anymore... they sense something is very wrong.

Gale runs back. "RANDY!!!!" They find the van... smashed windows... Dewey opens the van....

Gale SCREAMS and we see Randy's dead, bloody body. Joel faints.

Sidney is in the college library, on the computer. She gets a weird, old school style instant message.

A black man gives her help with the computer (I mention his race because black people are a big deal with this movie).

Sidney's instant message is very threatening -- it's from the killer.

"YOU'RE GONNA DIE TONIGHT."

"THE POLICE CAN'T SAVE YOU."

She calls the attention of her bodyguards, who start looking around the computer, trying to find the killer, checking everybody's computer screens.

As Sidney waits, Cotton Weary appears behind her.

Cotton is wearing a campus sweatshirt.

[Sexy Celebrity]

Cotton tells Sidney that he's been given a phone call from Diane Sawyer. She wants to do a primetime show (a full hour) with her, Cotton and Sidney. Sidney doesn't want to do it. Cotton tries to get Sidney to do it.

Sidney wants her face out of the media, while Cotton wants his face restored, because he had a lot of unfortunate exposure in the first movie when everybody thought he was a killer.

Cotton gets loud in the library. Sidney's bodyguards arrest him.

[Sexy Celebrity]

Cotton is questioned by Chief Hartley at the police station. Meanwhile, Sidney sits outside the room with Dewey and Hallie. She has been informed about Randy's death.

Sidney wants to call Randy's MOTHER (another clue) to inform her of Randy's death, but Dewey has already made the phone call.

[Sexy Celebrity]

DEWEY: "Are you okay?"

SIDNEY: "Stop treating me like glass, Dewey. I'm not gonna break."

HALLIE: "It's okay to break."

[Sexy Celebrity]

CHIEF HARTLEY TO COTTON: "You better be sure your alibi's air tight!"

[Sexy Celebrity]

Cotton is released. They have nothing on him.

Gale appears from another room, with coffee. She chats with Cotton. He wants his fifteen minutes of fame. "Don't do anything stupid, Cotton," she warns him. "You were so instrumental in my freedom. You're not having character doubts now, are you?" Cotton says to her.

Sidney is told that her guards are gonna take her somewhere safe.

Hallie says she'll be with her. But what if Hallie is the killer, hmmm?

SIDNEY: Who's doing this, Dewey?

DEWEY: I don't know, Sid, but I'll find him.

Another scene with Mrs. Loomis posing as reporter Debbie Salt. She bugs Gale again. Gale gets bitchy with her.

GALE: "LOOK, LOCAL WOMAN!"

Mrs. Loomis, pretending to be Debbie, apologizes to Gale and walks away.

Joel appears. He tells Gale that he's leaving the city. He gets in a taxi and leaves. Tells Gale to have her head examined. Dewey appears. Gale says she feels really bad.

Gale wants to find this ****er.

So does Dewey.

They almost kiss -- and then Dewey almost trips on her bag. Discovers videotapes that Joel made.

Gale gets an idea.

GALE: "If the killer really is watching and relishing every minute -- then he'd be here on these tapes, right? At each crime scene."

DEWEY: "It's worth a look."

GALE: "It's definitely worth a look."

[Sexy Celebrity]

They head to the "School of Film." It's night. Dewey and Gale walk through the halls, Dewey with a flashlight. All of the doors are locked. Except one lecture room -- where they find a television and VCR.

Gale and Dewey bump heads. Things start to get romantic. Dewey puts a tape in the VCR. They watch events from the movie that played earlier.

Dewey smiles at a tape featuring him and Gale fussing with each other. "I was being rude." Gale apologizes for hurting Dewey.

Dewey and Gale kiss passionately. They get up on a table and start to remove clothes --

WHEN SOMEONE MESSES WITH THEIR TV! A DIFFERENT TAPE is playing!

A videotape that the killer filmed himself of his victims! Including Randy from inside Gale's news van!

Dewey and Gale turn their heads and see a GHOSTFACE staring at them from a window above them. Dewey runs up to investigate.

Gale calls after him. Dewey says nobody is there. A GHOSTFACE POPS UP BEHIND GALE!

Gale manages to knock Ghostface on the head with a phone and then she takes off alone, running down the hallway, trying to find doors that will open. Finally she manages to find one that does.

Gale finds herself in a recording studio/radio station place.

There's a soundproof glass window. Gale sees Ghostface behind it. She ends up running and hiding behind these ... I'm not sure what you call them. Walls.

In maze like fashion, Gale keeps moving and hiding behind these walls, as Ghostface creeps after her.

Gale goes into another room -- but now, in the other room, behind soundproof glass, comes Dewey. He sees Gale behind the soundproof glass. Tries to get her attention with knocking. Can't. Dewey steps in some old pizza.

GHOSTFACE COMES UP BEHIND DEWEY AND STABS HIM IN THE BACK!

I've paused the movie so much to write something that it wouldn't have been on track.

Gale turns in time to see Dewey fall down... blood smeared on the glass. She cries. She bangs on the glass. She watches as he falls down to his apparent death (he's not actually dead, though).

Gale manages to close a door in time. Ghostface tried to get in, but she threw a shelf with stuff on it in front of it. Ghostface tries to break through the soundproof glass. It won't budge. He finally gives up. He'll kill her some other time, he figures.

Sidney is outside at a car. She and Hallie are getting ready to leave and go into hiding. Derek comes to say goodbye to Sidney.

"When this is all over, I'll still be here." - Derek

Sidney musters up a kiss for Derek and then gets in the car and leaves.

It seems like her kiss to Derek is just to try and see if she really feels like he's the killer or not.

Robed men appear and snatch Derek away. His fraternity brothers. Come to punish him for giving his Greek fraternity letters necklace to Sidney.

Derek is hung up on the starry/sun shaped thing on the theatre stage that was seen earlier in the college theatre scene. He's tied up as partygoers party around him.

The cop car doesn't make it far -- GHOSTFACE attacks Sidney and Hallie on the road, grabbing one of her bodyguards through the window and killing him.

[Sexy Celebrity]

Ghostface drives the car down a road while the other surviving bodyguard rides along on the hood.

[Sexy Celebrity]

Ghostface slams the car into some poles -- one of the poles went THROUGH THE OTHER BODYGUARD'S HEAD, killing him.

Sidney and Hallie, freaked out, find the killer to be unconscious in the driver's seat while they are in the back, TRAPPED, because of the wire dividing between the front and back seat. They cannot escape through the back doors, either, because they're locked.

Sidney pulls on the wire and manages to bend it down far enough so that she can slip into the front seat. Ghostface... APPEARS... to be unconscious.

Sidney looks at Ghostface... she goes to PULL OFF HIS GHOSTFACE, which totally freaks out Hallie.

In a suspenseful moment, Sidney's arm accidentally hits the car horn. HONK!

Sidney can't open the door, so she has to CLIMB OVER GHOSTFACE and slip out through the open car window.

And then she tells Hallie to go up front and do the same since she can't open the car door outside.

Hallie's like, "NO ****ING WAY!" but she has no choice -- she has to.

Sidney manages to successfully pull Hallie out of the car window.

[Sexy Celebrity]

They run but Sidney stops. She wants to run back and find out who the killer is.

SIDNEY: "I'm sick of running! If we know who it is, it's over."

Sidney runs back to the cop car. Hallie stays behind.

But GHOSTFACE IS GONE! He's not in the cop car anymore!

Suddenly he jumps out BEHIND HALLIE and KILLS HER!

Sidney, terrified and upset, runs off.

Gale, back at the film school, finds Cotton, blood on his hands. She thinks he's the killer.

She races outside. Finds a pay phone. Mrs. Loomis, still in Debbie Salt character, is using it. Gale makes her hang up on her call so Gale can call the police. She exclaims, "THE KILLER'S COTTON ****ING WEARY!"

Mrs. Loomis / Debbie Salt acts fake surprised. "Cotton Weary?!"

Sidney races to her college theatre. She heard music playing from inside. She calls out looking for her director, Gus. But nobody's around. Sidney goes on stage... calling out for somebody... and then the music STOPS.

And a spotlight SHINES RIGHT ON SIDNEY.

Flats come down. The spotlight goes to... Derek's shirt.

[Sexy Celebrity]

Sidney, in darkness, is surprised when the starry sun shaped thing comes down with a man's body... DEREK's. She pulls a Greek mask (from her play) off his face. His mouth has been duct taped. He's tied up. Sidney exclaims that the killer is after her.

THE KILLER THEN APPEARS, walking up on stage.

The killer takes off his mask and reveals himself.

It's MICKEY!

[Sexy Celebrity]

Mickey, by the way, hasn't been seen in the movie FOR A WHOLE ****ING HOUR! Duh! Obviously it's him. Where the hell has he been?

[Sexy Celebrity]

Mickey tries to trick Sidney into thinking that Derek and he are partners in this. Derek demands that Sidney untie him... but she won't. What if Derek really is the killer?

[Sexy Celebrity]

Mickey takes out a gun and SHOOTS DEREK IN THE CHEST.

[Sexy Celebrity]

Sidney realizes what an awful, awful, awful mistake she's made. She watches as Derek dies in front of her. "Noooooo...." she sobs.

[Sexy Celebrity]

Mickey reveals that Derek was completely innocent. Mickey then references Sidney's MOTHER (one last clue). Followed by a conversation about Billy Loomis.

[Sexy Celebrity]

Mickey, it seems, WANTS to be caught. He wants to blame the movies. He wants there to be a trial. He wants to be in the spotlight. He wants fame. He wants notoriety. And he wants to try to get off -- be found innocent -- by blaming the movies.

Sidney uses her greek letters (Derek's) to hit Mickey and try to escape from him. They end up fighting. She punches and kicks at him. But then he gets his gun and points it at her.

Derek's dead body goes up in the air -- and MICKEY REVEALS THAT HE HAS A PARTNER!

[Sexy Celebrity]

From through a door comes -- MRS. LOOMIS. Gun in hand. Sidney recognizes her immediately (she had never seen her during the course of the movie).

".... Mrs. Loomis?"

[Sexy Celebrity]

Gale turns to Mrs. Loomis, the woman she knew as Debbie Salt.

Gale: "WHAT?!"

[Sexy Celebrity]

Mickey: "BILLY'S MOTHER! Nice twist, huh? Didn't see it coming, did ya?"

[Sexy Celebrity]

GALE: "But I've seen pictures of you!"

MRS. LOOMIS: "It's called a makeover. YOU SHOULD TRY IT."

[Sexy Celebrity]

Funny, considering Gale actually has been trying to do a makeover on herself. It's already been noted that Gale had calf impants (Randy spotted them) and she dyed red streaks in her hair.

Gale, in a way, has been foreshadowing Mrs. Loomis herself.

And here we have Mrs. Loomis, played by Laurie Metcalf, who's famous for playing Jackie, Roseanne's sister on the TV sitcom Roseanne.

This is, in my opinion, the best killer in the Scream series. First of all, she's female. Second, she's an older woman, probably in her late 40's. She's not what you would expect from a killer in a horror movie... unless you think of Mrs. Voorhees from Friday the 13th. Or Mrs. Bates from Psycho. Both inspirations for Mrs. Loomis.

Mrs. Loomis (aka Debbie Salt) -- Laurie Metcalf

In Friday the 13th, the killer in the very first movie was Mrs. Voorhees, Jason's mother, not Jason himself. This is referenced at the beginning of the first Scream in the trivia question that Casey Becker (Honeykid's Drew Barrymore) answers incorrectly (which costs her boyfriend Steve's life).

In the sequels, the killer was Jason.

Scream does the opposite. In the first movie, the son is the killer. In the sequel, it's the mother.

Kevin Williamson, the writer of Scream and Scream 2, is gay, and I've always thought, as a gay artist, this idea of the mother being the killer in Scream 2 is his greatest conception -- first of all, there's the whole psychoanalytic theory, going from Freud, about dominant mothers turning their sons gay. Kevin Williamson is interestingly examining the strong mother archetype here -- something found a lot in horror, going from Psycho onward. Norman Bates, Jason Voorhees, Billy Loomis -- three psychos who have all had domineering, strong mothers in their lives. Billy was driven to kill because he couldn't take the loss of his mother from his life when she abandoned him after Sidney's mother slept with her husband. Billy has even been thought of to be gay by many Scream theorists -- why did he have a male partner in the first movie (Stu)? What was their story?

Scream 2 advances and deepens the first movie -- which is why I like it more -- by continuing the murder spree with Billy Loomis' mother. Many people find fault with this idea. Many thought it wasn't clever. Many thought it was cheap and nothing but a copy of the first film.

Scream 2 is a copy of the first movie -- but that's the point to it. And while it copies it, it also makes the original story much more complex. Billy Loomis' mother was not seen in the first movie -- she was merely mentioned. She was a shadow. But in the sequel, she is fully fleshed, and we see just how nutballs she is and how passionate she was towards her own son. She is crazy enough to take up where he left off and determined to kill Sidney Prescott, just like he was. She is THAT attached to her son, Billy. Something we didn't know in Scream.

Back to the movie, which I had paused --

Mickey is a Billy Loomis surrogate. He is her surrogate son. She found him and guided him and nurtured him.

They found each other on the internet.

You have to wonder just how deep their relationship was, too. I mean, Mickey was a man. And he was working in secret with this older woman. And she didn't have any other men in her life. What might their relationship have been? Outside of what we see. Could they have been lovers? A little cougarish mother/son thing going on?

And here's the clincher -- Mrs. Loomis has tricked Mickey. He thinks they're both gonna be caught and go to jail and do a trial together. But no, no. Mrs. Loomis does not want to be caught. Hence why she took up the Debbie Salt fake identity -- so she wouldn't be found. So there would be no trace of her. Dumb Mickey. Mrs. Loomis turns the gun on him and shoots him to death. He is betrayed. Backstabbed. He tries to shoot her back, but it's too late -- she hit him first.

Mrs. Loomis is imitating a pattern here -- she is abandoning Mickey at this point. Just like how she abandoned her own son, Billy. When she found out that her husband was having an affair with Sidney's mother, she packed her bags and left town. Leaving Billy behind. Abandoning him. Mrs. Loomis is domineering and forceful -- and independent. Though she'll care a great deal about sons, she always abandons them.

In the process of being shot, Mickey's gun accidentally strikes Gale in the rib, making her fall off stage. Sidney is now left on stage with Mrs. Loomis.

Mrs. Loomis lays out to Sidney her plan on how she's gonna get away and how she's gonna kill Sidney.

SIDNEY: "You're as crazy as your son was!"

MRS. LOOMIS: "Not wise to patronize me with a gun, Sidney! Randy spoke poorly of Billy and I got A LITTLE KNIFE HAPPY! I was a good mother!"

Ah, man. I could've put the disc in and caught up. I'd forgotten just how much to go there was. :(

Mrs. Loomis represents a copycat of Billy Loomis. She IS Billy Loomis in the sequel. Billy Loomis has returned through her. And this is more fitting with the theme of sequels and how they basically are just copies of the original movie. Mrs. Loomis and Mickey, Billy and Stu. The couples are interchangeable.

Mrs. Loomis herself represents a sequel. Just like the killer in Scream 4 represents a remake.

But back to Scream 2 -- which I'm having trouble wrapping up.

Sidney's hit Mrs. Loomis with a beer bottle. Mrs. Loomis shoots at her through a door with her gun. Sidney spots... AN EMERGENCY AXE. And she starts chopping up some pulleys, which cause spotlights and things to fall. She's BRINGING DOWN THE STAGE ON MRS. LOOMIS!

Bringing down the house on Mrs. Loomis.

Yet again, everything around Mrs. Loomis falls apart, just like her family life. And all at the hands of a Prescott.

Fake rocks tumble down and bury Mrs. Loomis.

All is quiet. Sidney tries to leave -- BUT MRS. LOOMIS COMES OUT AND GRABS HER!

Mrs. Loomis chases her back to the stage, trying to stab her.

Finally she pins Sidney down to the ground... knife at her face... like Billy to Sidney at the end of Scream. Sidney sees a gun nearby...

When Cotton arrives on stage, gun in hand.

He learns the identities of the killers.

He says hello to Mrs. Loomis. He knew her as Debbie Salt. Must have chatted with her. She says, "But I can still help you, Cotton!"

"But I can still help you..." meaning she must have made an offer (as Debbie) to help even Cotton Weary. Probably to tell his story and make him a more liked character.

Mrs. Loomis has a knife at Sidney's throat. She wants to kill her. She's trying to get Cotton to let her kill her. "SHE SENT YOU TO PRISON FOR A YEAR! Personally, I think it's rather poetic."

And Cotton almost seems to take her offer -- but Cotton has a better idea.

He entices Sidney again with the Diane Sawyer interview which she didn't want to do before.

Sidney: "Consider it DONE."

Sidney found her way out of this.

By accepting to embrace the media -- and the world. The thing Hallie was trying to get her to do at the sorority party. Be a part of the world.

Cotton fires his gun.

The bullet to the forehead will come in a minute. Sidney will provide it herself.

Gale is alive. They pull her up on stage. The bullet just bounced off her rib.

They all look at Mrs. Loomis' dead body. Gale takes a gun.

GALE: "Is she dead?"

SIDNEY: "I don't know. They always come back."

Mickey comes back to life!

Sidney and Gale use their guns and shoot Mickey dead.

Then Sidney turns and fires a bullet into Mrs. Loomis' forehead.

"JUST IN CASE."

The next day. Broad daylight. The police. Ambulances.

Joel returns to be with Gale. As her cameraman.

When Gale gets the surprise of her life --

DEWEY'S ALIVE!

Gale hops in an ambulance with Dewey to be with him. And that is the last we see of her in this movie.

Reporters chase after Sidney. She is called a hero. She tells them to talk to Cotton. He's the hero -- and he is.

Reporters speak with Cotton.

Sidney walks off on the college campus. COMPLETELY ALONE.

Randy, Derek, Hallie, Mickey = her friends in this movie = ALL OF THEM ARE DEAD.

This movie made me obsessed with skeleton keys when I was a kid.
