It was surprisingly glorious out which is typical around here, when the kids are in school the weathers great and when they are out its pants.

We were having a few problems with our daughter and thought it would be so much easier for her to be home schooled like her brother until we move and/or she sees the dr. The drs have already said they believe she is ASD same as me and our son, so why cause unnecessary stress on her by sending her to a school that doesnt even go to her when she is upset. That school that our kids went to is **** all they care about is attendance. Our boy didnt went through 5 years of problems there but as he was well behaved and got top marks in everything they said theres nothing wrong, even though we were saying he has meltdowns at home as thats his safe place.

Im currently waiting for the dishwasher to finish so I empty it and the kids are on break at the moment so they are reading in the den they made last night.

Is that any different to any other philosophy essay?

League tables are a dreadful thing, aren't they? Well, went taken too seriously, anyway. It's a shame schools are little more than glorified creches to allow both parents to work so they can actually afford to run a household.

Thankyou. It was horrendous there was over a 6 hour wait and this drunk guy was brought in with police and he was covered in blood, hand double the size and handcuffed. He was throwing himself around like an idiot and then started to explain to the police he is a racist BUT... The words every racist state at some point. As soon as he started spouting off they take him off somewhere. It turns out he was taken in, in font of everyone. I thought this was disgusting as there was an old woman who was there with a suspected broken hip and they left her. So infuriating.

Cheers man. Its going to be a better life down there as the valleys are just awful and I have seen them change so much in my life. Everything is closing and there are just more and more drugs and drugys about. Not long ago I was coming back from the shop about 2pm and walking along this nice country path that is right by the river and what do I see, two junkys just jacking up sat in the middle of the path. Bet they just threw the needles as well. I phoned the police and said what I saw and the fact kids play there and the police eventually arrived but the junkys had got on their bikes and rode off on the main road and they were all over the place.

But he's just an American presenter.

He was a moron and not all Americans sounds like that. In every single episode, someone he was interviewing would say some simple fact about whatever place he was visiting and he'd say "You mean..." and then repeat EXACTLY what they just said. Every f*cking time.

And the name of that program is California's Gold. Why they decided to have some guy from Tennessee host it is beyond me.

honeykid

Yeah, it has never been a great place but when I was growing up there was parks, libraries, youth clubs etc the council actually put money in to the place. But it seems they dont care any more and parks are closing, pools are closing, so are the libraries and youth clubs. There is nothing for kids to do around here and there are gangs everywhere and the drugys are ridiculous. I saw some one Sunday a few weeks back arguing over their cider and then stumbling past a charity shop and stealing the bags of things that someone donated. Yes the person shouldnt of dumped it outside but to steal it from the shop is low. Its just really getting us down and also the fact my wife has to commute so long to work, uni and placement it just seems the most logical thing to do. Cannot wait :)

Im considering going to bed as I have had a headache for the last few hours

Hard to say really. I think they're both quite of their time, though obviously the new one has lots of links to the old one. But, on the whole, yes it plays fairly similarly, though now into the third season and we're starting to see the kind of overreaching plotlines that worry me a little.

I had chicken pox when I was a kid, and it was awful. Keep some anti-itch medicine handy so she doesn't scratch.

I don't know if it's true, but I've heard that it's actually better for us to get chicken pox as a kid than as an adult. When I had it, my doctor told my mother to make sure that my sister played with me every day so she would get it too, but she never got it.

We have calamine lotion for her and its helping.

I had it when I was young, about 8-9 and it was a nuisance then. Our son had it on his 2nd birthday.

Apparently it can be really dangerous for adults to get it so we are relieved she has finally got it. We have had a few scares with her in the past but its come to nothing. She has a lot of spots now, so we have been looking after her thoroughly today.

Im waiting for my wife to come back from the hospital as we think our son has broke a toe. He is just like I was when I was growing, clumsy and always hurting himself when he is having a growth spurt.

It sounds like you're having a bad week with the kids, but I guess that's just a part of having kids. But try to keep a smile on your face. It will get better, and everything will be back to normal soon.

These kids it doesnt matter what life throws at them they are always happy. (which is more than I can say for myself ) Kids are great, even though they have been through the wars today they still been laughing and playing together.

That's great that the kids are taking it well. When I had the chicken pox, my mom said that I was a nightmare. I think that's one of the reasons I don't have kids. I have rabbits instead.

Bill Cosby said it best. He said "Every parent puts a curse on their child when they say "I hope someday you grow up and have kids who are just like you."."

Lying in bed feeling very ill. I'm not sure where I've got it from, but as I was trying to sleep last night I couldn't and was incredibly comfortably all night, I've been spewing and sh*tting all morning :p

Needed to go into university to get some work done today too, got a busy week ahead in terms of coursework. Although the majority of it I can do without going in, so maybe this will give me a reason to do more work, or I could just end up watching more TV and films :p

Our daughter is still her smiling happy self today. She was upset through the night as she couldnt sleep due to the itching and she had all the meds she could possibly have so there was nothing we could do. So me and Her camped in the frontroom and she finally went off to sleep about 3:30am. I didnt sleep that much but my wife took over at 6am so I went to bed. Our son is limping ever so slightly but apart from that he is great, as he has broken his toe, thats patched up from the hospital.

Cheers Christine :) My son managed to break his toe by putting his iPod on charge. He went to the charger and managed to boot the fire surround and my wife heard is toe crunch. The funny thing is he and my little brother in law has had a bet going for two years now to see who would break a bone first (after having a conversation with me as I mantioned I have lost count of the bones I have broken over the years) so he was happy as he has £20 coming. I dont know where my brother in law is going to get it as he is 12 and my son is 9. Kids these days bet big apparently
