Keep an eye to the sky or local news or weather radio if you have one and know what you need to do if there's a warning for your county and you'll be fine. We just got a watch issued for our area here too but I live on the northern end of this stuff where it isn't as volatile. Most watches go for longer than the real tornado threat so you probably have just a few more hours, depending on where you live.

Here's an up-to-date map (http://www.wunderground.com/severe.asp) of current watches, warnings, etc. You can even go to the upper left and type in your location and bring up a zoomed in radar for your area to see if the storms have passed.

'Twas a combined effort of my wife and I...we were warming up a batch we'd made the other day...she went to the computer and was engrossed there and I don't even remember what I was doing outside, but I came back in to billowing tufts of charred, airborne, particulate remnants of our supper issuing out of our front door.

The whole episode will cost us about $40-50, when you factor in the burn on the deck from where the fuming pot was initially placed.

And, yes...more info than you bargained for.....:)

'Twas a combined effort of my wife and I...we were warming up a batch we'd made the other day...she went to the computer and was engrossed there and I don't even remember what I was doing outside, but I came back in to billowing tufts of charred, airborne, particulate remnants of our supper issuing out of our front door.

The whole episode will cost us about $40-50, when you factor in the burn on the deck from where the fuming pot was initially placed.

And, yes...more info than you bargained for.....:)

Yes indeedy....I usually mountain bike on about 15 miles of trails that's near my house, but it's been too cold and icy. I would looove to sub a day for a bike ride on the trail.

Good for you on running/walking/riding! In your line of work, that definitely helps you to stay hot on the baddies' tails when you need to.:yup:

Trying to get over the flu which kinda hit me at a terrible time. My girlfriend was in surgery all day yesterday getting a hysterectomy and we were both up the night beofre worrying over it. The surgery turned out fine, but her recovery is going to be long and tough on her. I cannot even stay overnight with her because of this damn flu. Right now I am taking some meds and hitting the hay, hopefully I will be over this soon. I was at least able to bring her some flowers today, I had to wear a little mask though.:)
