Man, I hate those shoes. I remember the first time I went bowling. I asked our friend, how heavy of a ball should I use. He gave me a 9 lb ball. I said that it felt way too light. He talked me into it. I walked up to the line, threw the ball, and it didn't hit the floor until right before the pins. Everyone looked up fast, and then they had to laugh. Can we say KaBoom. "Thanks you boob. I told you it was too light." Needless to say, I got a strike.
Anyways, have a blast, lady!

Sorry to hear that.

Thanks Nebbit. They finally transported him to Tampa General today. They went in, and found that they can't do anything for him. They said that more than likely, he will pass away tonight, or tomorrow.

His 3 daughters brought in the best heart surgeon 2 days ago, hoping he could do something/anything. We got word last night, that he said there is nothing he can do. Only 10% of his heart works, and they had a balloon in there, to make that possible. They deflated that last night. He shouldn't last much longer now. He said he is ready to go.

As I have said, my mother is the oldest of 10 children. She is 75. We just got a call, a little bit ago, that one of my aunts was having chest pains, so they took her in. They believe she had a small heart attack. They are now doing a heart catheterization.
I guess it is pretty obvious by now, what the main health issue is in my family.

You mean your brothers/sisters and parents only or are you including Aunts, Uncles, nephews, and Grandparents?

Also it depends on your age, and how big of a family you have for those chances to rise Iroquois. It's going to happen to all of us so all I can say is live the moment to the fullest with them if you can.

My father had 12 brothers/sisters in his family who has since lost a couple brothers now. One was hit by a train the other died about 7 or 8 years ago.

My mother has 5 brothers and a sister in hers which are all fine so far though.

My mother has an Uncle dying of cancer at the moment though.

I promised to donate a painting to this charity auction for homelessness. Well I started it, didn't like, did it over, didn't like it, did it over....this went on about 4 times. Finally I said screw it and after 4 weeks I finally finished it and I hate it so much that I am submitting it anonymously. There is no time left to do a different one, unfortunately. I may end up donating a microscope art painting I did awhile ago, haven't decided.

Trying not to laugh at my daughter. She just finished a puzzle and one piece is missing. She is looking everywhere for it, I told her it may have came that way and searching for it will not help. She wants to go buy another one of the same make just for that one piece. Her frustration is not funny to her, but I cannot help but laugh. It is a small puzzle and took her maybe 30 minutes to put it together so thats why my amusement. I did not laugh in front of her though, I just told her that if she really wanted another one I would get it tomorrow; if I have the time I will find out what piece it is and take it out of the one I buy too.........of course I will give it to her eventually. :)

I asked Jason when he got home from work and he says there is a grey area there. They use drugs in public and hang around the drop-in 24/7. The person who took the videos shouldn't have posted them on You Tube, but if these people didn't want to get caught, they would go to a private place to use and deal. So they are both kinda "in the wrong and right" so to speak. I just think of how I'd feel if someone was recording me and put it on You Tube without my knowledge or if I told them to get out of there with the camera. But then I'm torn with the people who live around this organization. The drugs and violence is often brought to their front yards where they are witness to all of it and often find needles and other paraphinalia laying around. But then I think, why would they move to such a rough neighborhood and not expect this? Then I think people should be able to feel safe where ever they live....
So I guess I'm torn.

Hoping more people try, the movie clip game, that I make for the board. I know that Holden kicks some serious butt, but you aren't playing against anyone but your own memory. I post ten movies, and if you've seen five, and get five, you win. How could you do any better!?! If you get three to four, that's real good. If you only get one, or maybe none, then yeah, maybe watch them again. ;)
Come on people. Am I on a movie board, or what?!?

This could be the longest game in history. I am having loads of problems getting the page to load.

After my 'not' planned break is over, I'm going to go rearrange my back porch, and put my exercise bike on the other side. My neighbor can't seem to find a new hobby. The smuck! At least the other one use to walk around in his yard, acting like he was looking for something. Sure, it was every day, 6 days a week, at the exact same time that I went out to ride, but at least he tried to act innocent. This man just stares right at me.

No worries. I have more patience than anyone I know. I've been trying once, closing the page, and coming back the next day. Until today, when I assumed you may get annoyed. I thought, "She's going to delete this damn game, if I don't hurry."

Funny...not funny that it happened to you, but funny because it reminds me of something that happened two days ago. I was walking down the street with a friend of mine in the wealthy part of the city and we saw this really run-down, creepy looking university student house. My friend said to me, "you'd think they would at least fix their garage door." When I looked over to the garage it looked like it was mangled by an axed murderer and it was hanging on by only a few inches of wood. This house is very out of place because it is stuck in between two huge town houses, with nicely trimmed lawns. If it were in any other part of the city, it would add character, but here it is just creepy. It looks like someone just tossed together a house with a few peices of wood they found lying around. I couldn't help but laugh at this sore site. Students should not live in houses.

Just got back from shopping with my friend. Her kitten had to be put down today :( The whole story is just awfully sad. I have been with my friend for the past few days helping her out with the kitten and comforting her because she knew the poor little thing was dying. It was only 8 weeks old. She rescued it from her now ex-friend's place, but there just wasn't anything the vet could do for her. She had major bowel and urinary tract infections preventing her from urinating and she had diarrhea and lumps throughout her bum area...it was so horrible! This was all because the ex-friend of hers keeps her house in very poor conditions. So anyway, the Humane's Society is going there tomorrow morning to get the rest of the animals. Also Children's Aid is investigating things as well...a just as devistating story. I am just relieved the poor kitten is out of her misery and that the other animals and the children will be taken care of. It's just so sad...

I just received the call, that my uncle just died. I don't want to sound like a horrible person, but I really hate funerals, and don't want to go.
Sorry to hear about your Uncle :( No body likes funerals, they are just something you have to do :(

@gummo: That is such a sad story, its very good to support your friend in times like this. I hope they'll pay a proper visit to her ex, he can't treat kittens like that, the bastard!

@Ðèstîñy, Im sorry to hear, but maybe you need to go to the funeral to say one final goodbye, i know from personal experience witg my aunt that you'll probably feel very sad and have to cry, but it is just something you have to do. Missing the funeral will only make you feel more sad, because then you havent had a proper chance to say goodbye.

My thoughts are with you..

I just received the call, that my uncle just died. He held on for quite a while. Eating, and using the walker, but they said that this was normal. Not to get our hopes up. He was surviving on 10% of his heart. He went back down fast, and hadn't eaten, or drank anything for the past couple of days. I don't want to sound like a horrible person, but I really hate funerals, and don't want to go.

you'll always be pi$$ed at yourself if you dont do this one last thing. Nobody wants to go to funerals, you're not a horrible person.

Thanks, you all. I have been going to funerals since I was eight. That one being my father's. I have been to many, and I got to avoid a few. I am positive that I don't want to go, and I know I wouldn't regret it. Most of the time, it is to keep that last good memory. This isn't something I care to remember. It's just who I am.
Thanks again. :)

Holy cow Nebbs! Congrats in a big way!

For my part I'm sore S O R E. I work in a warehouse for a major US organic and health foods retailer (betya cant guess who that is) love em or hate em they pay VERY well. But the work is incredibly physically demanding. I have lost about 20 lbs but gained about 1/2 inch on my arms and loads of definition. Kinda makes a gym membership redundant, but I'll be joining a gym very soon.

Congrats again Nebbs on the new home. Any chance of a big Movie forums blowout downunder? Airfare would suck but it would be a hell of a blast! I always wanted to visit down there and having a place to crash would be amazing. (look at me all insinuating myself).

YAY!

And that strength, however normal for you, makes you special. My condolences and respect!

Cleaning the guinea pig enclosure

The biggest memory of our guinea pigs I remember when growing up is teasing them by rustling paper or plastic, they thought it was lettuce I think, but they rose cane.:D

The arse that I am, I got up at 5.50am to watch the Chinese Grand Prix then dropped a slice of toast (butter side down, natch) on my shirt.

I've just realised that the race is repeated at 11am.

You undress, find a cute very big bath-towel to cover your entire body and say: if you can shut up and listen for just 5 minutes, the towel will go back to its original place

I'm trying to figure out a way to tell him I want to move out into my own apartment. Our wedding is on hold until he decides to get help for his alcohol problem. I'm going nuts living with his drinking problem!

You shouldn't have to. Tell him you're leaving him until he sorts himself out . It's harsh but you can't fight this battle for him, and it might knock some sense into him.

I don't know him so I don't know what the deep underlying cause of his alcoholism is, but depending on how long he's been like this he may have got it into his head that you're going to let him get away with it, so nip it in the bud now.

Tell him he needs to get help before you'll move back in.

Oh ok, forget the towel. Im sorry to hear. Maybe you should buy The Osbournes DVDset, where Ozzy tells about his wedding 'And i was laying p**sed and drunk in the corridor' Tell him you don't want that, that your wedding has to be perfect from the outside as well as the inside. Sorting himself out will only make it better, and that means he has to figure himself out. I hope you'll be able to tell him, and he wil change for the better of both of you. Big hug!
