I love this definition of Emo:
EMO: Genre of softcore punk music that integrates unenthusiastic melodramatic 17 year olds who don't smile, high pitched overwrought lyrics and inaudible guitar riffs with tight wool sweaters, tighter jeans, itchy scarfs (even in the summer), ripped chucks with favorite bands signature, black square rimmed glasses, and ebony, greasy unwashed hair that is required to cover at least 3/4 of the face at an angle. A study in navel-gazing solipsism.

I am also drinking a delicious cup of coffee. Simultaneously, I am listening to a film score collection I created in iTunes, which is wafting some of the Solaris score out of my speakers right now. Other selections include tracks from Mulholland Drive, The Fountain, Southland Tales, and Inland Empire...
I am also considering some of the amazing concepts I read about in Neal Stephenson's The Diamond Age, which deal with Matter Compiled Nano-Technological learning devices, called Illustrated Primers, and how such a device can raise one's level of education to great heights, but not their level of intelligence. Or how such a device cannot teach someone concepts such as tact, discretion, or love. Once again proving that, there is no substitute for experience...

I would, but it taste too damn good. Actually, I did that when I was a lot younger, and I lost 5 lbs in the first week. I hadn't even reached 100 lbs yet, that didn't happen until sometime in high school, so I figured I best not do that anymore.

ANYway . . . I just realized that it is after 3:00 a.m., and I am hungry to the point of hunger pains. Damn! Now I feel like those stupid lymph nodes are swelling under my arms again. I had them once, when I was 21. Seven under one arm, and 11 under the other. Well, from what it felt like. Talk about a pain in the pit. :p You can't raise your arms when those things get going on. I felt sore there last year, like it was going to happen again, but it was nothing, and now it feels that way again. Mother seemed like she was catching a cold. I don't have time to be sick. Hopefully these are nothing, as well. I have work to do.
I always say that.

Damn, hun. Well, when I had that huge number of them, it was back when I was 22-23, and sick with my ulcer. I weighed all of 85-90 lbs. My bet, it isn't because of weight. ;)
Back then, I thought it was because of stress, but reading up on them late last night, it is normally our immune system that causes them. Like colds, and such. I dunno. Something like that. Nothing ever appeared there, besides a sore feeling, so it's still just once for me.
The only type of fish I ever ate was tuna so I don't think I'll have too much trouble going fish free... eggs might be another matter though 'cause I do like a cheese omelet once in a while... :p
Also, eggs are in a lot of goodies, like cakes, etc. Back when I was young, I thought people were vegetarians because they didn't want to be the cause of animals dying. Then I heard where many still eat fish, but don't drink milk. Seeings as how the fish die, but you can't milk a cow to death, I guess my theory was wrong. It sounds like a health issue, now

Tank, you were right. I wanted to send him to the dentist, right after I posted this. :D
This has been the most productive year I have had in forever. The two battles I have been fighting for over four years now, with my next door neighbor, are totally over. He is gone, and his sister cleaned the dump up. She redid the house, painted it, and hauled off the loads of nasty junk. Now the tree, that enormous tree that I have worried over for soooo long, is gone. Yippee me!
I also finally got my storage building. This isn't some basic shed. It's a huge, wood building, measuring 10 feet deep, by 16 feet wide, by 12 feet high. That is some killer storage space. Oh yes, this bitch is huge!
Not me, the building!

Abso-freekin-lutely. I've got a nifty trail we can climb up to the Albert Mountain fire tower (http://www.nantahalawilderness.com/library/images/albertmountain/IMGP1175_800.jpg) (at exactly 5,280 feet). You can even climb up the open metal staircase to get a better vista.
There's also North Carolina's last native ruby/sapphire mine that's privately owned where you can mine the native dirt dug out of the moutain side there for a fee. In fact, Tiffany's used to own it around the early 1900's. The rubies there are purple and the sapphires are pink and many of them rutilize, or form "stars" (http://www.sheffieldmine.com/Star-Ruby-Ring.jpg) after they are cut. It is one of only a few places in the world where this occurs. It is tucked away in the Cowee Valley in NC and we've mined over 1000 carats since we've been going every summer over the last 5 years. The largest I've found was 70 carats. And, newp, I'm not addicted;) .

Pondering the idea of a vacation, or maybe even a sabbatical, financial woes be dammed - I need a break :) . Seriously though a week would be cool.
Go for it... even if it's only a week-end camping trip a couple of miles down the road... :)
Right now I'm ignoring my phone... my Mum has been calling off and on all morning... and I really am not in the mood to talk to her.... if anything was really wrong, she'd leave a voice mail... or have someone else track me down... so, I feel sure it's just more of the "what I should be doing with my life" speech she's been giving me lately....

She basically wants me to do all three of those... get married... have kids... and change jobs. She's been on my case about it for a while... but has gotten a lot worse the last few months because a couple of my cousins got married...

I'm contemplating sawing off the arm of my sofa.
Since I bought my new TV (and stand) the DVD player is sitting a few inches lower than before and the path from the remote to the sensor is now blocked by the sofa. When I want to pause or eject a disc I now have to arch my arm like a basketball player attempting a reverse-slam-3 point-dunk-play. *
I like my sofa. Help!
* I don't understand a lot about basketball apart from the fact that I think it's easily the grooviest of American sports.

I'm experiencing just about the only thing I don't like about where I live - the morning rush hour. The schools are out for the summer this week so it'll cut the traffic by 50% at least - I live very close to 3 big schools so the morning traffic is mainly composed of women in massive 4x4s driving over kerbs and stopping in the middle of the road to let little Seamus out, walking more than 10 feet to school is obviously an infringement of his civil rights, or something...

I hate how I sleep. If I go to bed at around 10 p.m. I am awake by 1-3 a.m. If I go to sleep by 12-1, like I did last night, I am awake between 5-6 a.m. It was around 6 a.m. this time. I prefer staying up super late, and sleeping in. It's too quiet that early in the morning, and my mind has too much time to think. It's usually negative thoughts, too. There are a truckload of problems right now. Most I wouldn't even list. Plus, the world itself is truly messed up. It's hard to tune that out all the time. I have also been having this feeling that I'm forgetting something very important. It's driving me bonkers.
In other news, we have bears. The one city over tranquilized their's, and returned it to the woods. The one in my city, was only about a 5 minute drive from my house. It's exact location, in my mother's best friend's driveway. She lives across the street from my mother. It's been spotted a few times now, and the city ******** are letting it stay. It's small, you see. :indifferent:
