Ok, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre is "supposed" to be "based" or actual events and Ed Gain... However, The actual events have very little to do with the film. By serial kill standards Gain was pretty lame, only three murders and two by gun. You've have no reason to be worried.

Sir Toose
06-16-04, 09:57 AM
That's true, his experiments with grave robbing were a little more troubling to me though. All that stuff about furniture made from bones etc.

Actually they were only able to charge Ed Gein with the murders of two women who were recognizable… but he is suspected of having committed numerous others… two of which were children who disappeared in the area and one his own brother… During the investigation, they were able to piece together 15 whole bodies at his farm... but found various other body parts that did not match up to those or each other… and tissue samples were not consistent with those from bodies that had been previously prepared for burials…

i've never heard of the bone furniture. What about his litte suit and the masks...

Gein was one sick dude… he made bowls out of human skulls, had armchairs, trashcans, and lampshades covered in human skin, belts made out of nipples and noses… he even had pairs of lips hanging from his bedposts and shoe boxes full of female genitalia and as Toose said, furniture made from bones… he also had a complete suit made out of human skin…

aT the end of the movie they showed actual footage of the cop. Then the narrator said "this is the only known image of something somthing Leatherface".....Wtf was that all about if he was later found guilty (and presumably died of cancer) I mean was he really that grotesque?

06-16-04, 04:27 PM
All of the supposedly "real" footage was about as real as The Blair Witch Project. It looks convincing though. Leatherface is a fictional character "inspired" on a true man. So, as the tagline for an old John Carpenter movie went...Just keep telling yourself, "It's just a movie, it's just a movie, it's just a movie...".

I'm writing a screenplay.Well, I just found out some information that really pissed me off. I was writing a screenplay based on the book The Lost Years of Merlin. I went to the website to contact the author to ask for permission. Guess what? He's already got it "IN PROGRESS!!" Boy, did a lot of cuss words fly from my mouth. I was bumed out and now I'm going to find another book to write a screenplay. I got to find another damn book or come up with my own screenplay. This sucks. It only happens to me.

Well it depends if the old lady was going to cross the road ;)

Maybe your mum has a hard time expressing, her anger in a proper manner, instead of saying something like "What you did was bad" She is saying something like "You are bad" it happens, ask her. :D
