Time for some actual fleshing out of the character(s)... I might like Kill Bill vol. 1 for the b*tch going on a rampage storyline, but this is definitely a more quality film in my opinion.

I'm ready for this ish!

I'm looking forward to how this will be to do a commentary with. It's more dialogue driven, and it really demands your attention a lot more than the first. In my opinion this is film arguably has QT's best dialogue ever written. But that's just me...

"I'm gonna kill bill" HELL YES!

Swan
05-20-15, 04:31 PM
Sedai's fiancee should take a pic of Uma Thurman during that monologue and use it as her avatar. It reminded me of Sedai's avatar.

Hearing Bill talk I already look forward to Tarantino going off the rails and disappear into writing-heaven, when doing the monologue for Bill about Superman. Early to be excited, I know.

He's very Lance Henriksen here isn't he?

MovieMeditation
05-20-15, 04:42 PM
Indeed. This is already better than vol. 1.

I personally think the dialogue and execution is absolutely perfect. As much as the action was the core of entertainment in the first volume, the dialogue is what keeps my eyes glued to the screen in the second...

Swan
05-20-15, 04:42 PM
He's very Lance Henriksen here isn't he?

Yeah, he really reminds me of Henriksen's character in Sasquatch Mountain. :D

MovieMeditation

Swan

I like how Tarantino reverses the order, so part 1 opens with the second part of this, and part 2 opens with the beginning. That's very Tarantino.

Some people think Michael Madsen's storyline in this is unnecessary and out of place. I personally like it a lot though. Well, I like Madsen and this is a great character in its own right, but still... Since he doesn't feel as "big" as, say, Elle Driver and Oren Ishi-ii, QT had to do something about him to make him feel a part of the film.

Anyways,

love the western feel in this flick by the way!

honeykid
05-20-15, 04:47 PM

At least I personally felt like she was in an impossible place when I first watched it. Like, how the hell is she going to escape that.
