Yes, the little girl, Nikki, was supposed to be trained and raised by Sofie Fatale (the woman who loses her arm at O-Ren's party) and Elle Driver, who's still alive. That's what I heard somewhere. She was going to get revenge on Beatrix and B.B. for killing her mother.
Probably. After he's ripped everyone else off, he'll only have himself left. ;)

I haven't seen it at all. I meant the films that it's inspired by. I don't like westerns and I like Spaghetti westerns even less. With IB I'm not much of a fan of war films, though I like the exploitation war films a little more. But it's not really my thing. Neither are the films which inspired this. As a genre, I should say. This is totally Lady Snowblood and I liked that.

Anyways, all the discusssion about this not meeting people's expectations... it is far from my favorite QT.
The second one though, vol. 2... I'm pretty sure is my favorite Tarantino movie...
That film is also less fanboyish and over the top. vol. 2 is more story-orientated and the script is fantastic!
I think when Lucy Lui comes in, it becomes way better. That's a prediction.

MovieMeditation

movies was changed to black and white back in the old samurai days for the violence to appear less graphic, and they thereby could receive an r-rating and not higher...
QT did the exact same thing here. But it does exist in a colored version out there...

here we go! color is back on!
and now... silhouette fight!
honeykid
05-18-15, 07:21 PM
As I said, I think that's the US version. It goes black and white so it didn't piss off the MPAA quite so much. Violence isn't as violent when the blood's black.
The silhouette scene is underrated - a lot of videos on YouTube showing the main crazy 88 sequence but never this one.
