Honestly, I know this movie is bad... but when I was 12 I read the entire script and then watched the movie a lot. I loved it. There's a lot of nostalgia and because of that, I really enjoy this movie. It's also just a lot of fun.
honeykid
12-06-14, 04:20 PM
They should play REM's Nightswimming over this scene.

What's great about this movie is they treat everything in a ridiculous manner. If this was made today, it would be all serious and melodramatic in a Twilight kind of way. Kinda like how I feel the Nightmare on Elm Street remake was, which I despise.

honeykid
12-06-14, 05:20 PM
There's a few references to earlier Elm Streets, but it all looks to modern for a real Nightmare film.

It was modern for the time. It has a sort of late '90s/early 00's feel. But that feel is gone now.

one of the best parts about this movie is its simplicity
i remember when i was in elementary school, and during class around Halloween-time i'd daydream, and make up Halloween stories, and draw up little doodles on my paper instead of doing whatever school work i was supposed to do
that was way before i knew about this movie. and this is the supreme Halloween-holiday movie
rauldc14

I need to watch more horror. My wife does not watch horror though.

If you want to watch an underrated 80s slasher, you need to watch The Prowler.
