With the news Yoda wasn't saved by a call from the Govenor recently, i thought I'd post a pic from our somewhat recent Re-nuptials/party.

After all, Yoda lives in a River City as well.

Reccomend the charter for private parties for sure.

Thankfully in our case, we don't have Bruce Willis travellen the water ways out here getten within Striking Distance of a good time had by all :)

We had a smaller party for Lil'Phoebe than we did for Harry at his 5th, we had about 15 kids in the same space as we did for Phoebe it was a nightmare, thats why we kept a smaller amount of kids this time and got a clown in :laugh: I love birthdays for the kids it is so specail and its crazy to see them grow up aswell.

These are not my pics, but I will get some on here soon. Ive wanted to take some nice pictures from around the Valley for ages. There are some breath taking veiws from around here, there really is. Im lucky ive always lived around this area. I dont think I could cope in a city or somewhere where there are no hills or mountains :laugh:

Na where I live it is like little villages all the way through the Valleys and there is a main river that runs down the Valleys and they are good for trout fishing etc. Umm Im not a fishing person but my younger brother in law is and he has caught some fish before :yup: We get ducks, swans, herons all types of birds up and down the rivers and there are lakes also but you need a permit to fish there. As soon as I get some pics uploaded I'll post them on here :up:

Wales is a beautiful country it's true. The landscapes in the South Wales valleys are spectacular, I can see why you love it there N3wt. It's a shame that some of the towns and cities have been hit with such bad unemployment. North Wales is lovely too, we used to go there a lot when I was a kid.

Cheers Christine, we bought her from someone on FB :laugh: She was being sold for someone else, sadly the original owner is terminally ill and is unable to look after her anymore so thier friend placed an ad on FB and we just fell in love. Yeah there are pages set up on there for local sales, we have sold quite afew things on there and bought some Christmas presants from there also. We have had to deliver but mostly people come to the house to collect the items. If there isnt one for your area you could make one I supose :D

Looking at it now, the hillside in the distance in the second photo was where the Provos planted a mortar bomb in the late 80s (there was an army base just out of shot) and the fallout (not literal 'fallout', they weren't nuclear mortars :blush:) damaged our house pretty badly.

Nevertheless, I always understood, and so does Deleuze, why Capitalism works so well. It has produced the largest middle class in the history of the world, but that's modernity for ya. Poverty still exists and it's going to increase as the system hits its limits. Not that it won't respond, but maybe the future is what I am more weary about than the past. In short, it's the way of Capitalism's working that we are supposed to be against.

I also tried to explain that Capitalism is Real, which might clarify some of Matt's points.

My point the whole time was that the communist struggle is now in a kind of latent, theoretical phase in which---after the catastrophes of the 20th century---we must attempt to reformulate the way our hypothesis should fit within our current sociopolitical climate.

Yoda then got me to admit that communism will never be able to compete with Capitalism in terms of the advancement of technologies or science in general. I don't think this is outrageous. Again, Capitalism works extremely, extremely well at most of the things it does.

I usually buy her a bottle of Port on her birthday but she made do with a scarf this year. ;)

The thing about my granny is that, although she has neither pain nor ache in her body, her short term memory is completely shot. She'll not know what day it is but could tell you in great detail about what she did during WWII.

We couldn't get her away from that piano (she played the church organ for 30 years) but gradually, as Eric Morecambe once said, she'd be playing the right notes but not necessarily in the right order.

It's quite sad because when she's at home (the party was at the family homestead but my grandparents retired from there over 30 years ago) on her own she'll forget she can even play and the electric organ in the living room goes untouched.

I hope she will be able to but I dunno if she'll be able to (my grandad passed 24 years ago this Thursday) have another winter in her own house. :(
