I like the coins more.
The Rodent

Almost all of them are in that condition... 180 of them :D
Those particular ones are the best of the lot though. The Aussie coin, I think, is a first edition 1916 Penny.

BTW, since I have you here, here's another picture of that theater I was in. This time with all of the lights on. This was before Nightcrawler started. Advertisements were playing on the screen.

Empty cinema... nice
Home sweet home! I wish I lived in an empty room like that lol.
But I would kill the guy who left that ****** plastic around the chair. That's seriously off-putting and I wouldn't be able to divert my eyes away from it... gah!
Sexy Celebrity
11-02-14, 07:31 PM
Yes, well, that was my "just in case" chair.
You'd like it better w/o the plastic so you'd sit on a broken chair and fall on you ass? :)
The Rodent
11-02-14, 07:39 PM
Aren't all chairs in cinemas broken?
They are where I live :D
Either that or they're plastered in drink and popcorn... and bogies, sick, piss and any other bodily fluid you can think of. Including poop juice.
Come to think of it, it's safer to sit on the floor at my local.

I mentioned how there were other seats behind me that had these cloth bags covered over them. All of the seats like that -- including the plastic covered seat -- were all out of order. The seats were bad. Many of the cushions had rips and tears. It's an old theater. The stuff's probably never been replaced.
Anyway, at first, I sat in a seat directly behind one of the cloth bag covered seats. I figured -- just so there's not a chance somebody will sit directly in front of me. I'd sit behind one of the "out of order" chairs to prevent having a person's body in front of me. Not that it mattered -- the theater was huge, and crappy, and it was Friday at two in the afternoon. Nobody was there except me and some young dude who sat way in the back. Anyway, I hated looking at the cloth covered "out of order" chair in front of me -- it ruined the ambience for me -- so I got up and moved to a chair that wasn't behind a cloth covered chair. Though one that was close to a plastic covered chair, just in case. Just to be near a chair that might scare people away.

Ew.
Just think how many farts have been drilled into those cushions.
Broken chairs are not the sort of stuff you'd find at my reality.
That's not even a physical possibility, taking into consideration how the universe is fundamentally grounded on my sole supernatural wits. Only way to break the rules of my universe is to transcend into some sort of twilight zone glitch with the aid of alcohol or hallucinogenic neurotoxins. A broken chair in front of me would trigger a panic attack. You guys must be living in the twilight zone. :dizzy:

No, it's not. It's some kind of independently owned theater. It might have been an AMC theater long ago.

So the house is coming along nicely. We got some glass cabinets for my figurines and just had a built in shelving unit for our movies. I had to get rid of over 100 of them because they didn't fit and I did not want to double stack them. They were ones that I was going to sell off anyway.

Afraid not. I certainly wish it was done! I go back in 2 weeks for the final blue phase and then another 2 weeks and go back in for touch ups and high lights. So in another 6 weeks it should be completely done and healed! Had a bit of trouble with this last blue. The shaders didn't want to take ink so we had to do the entire thing with a round, took forever!

Here are me and my boys at a Christmas party last night. One of the probably three pictures I have been in all year. I would just show off my boys like I do on Facebook, but since they are not MoFo members yet you have to put up with my fat face.

Lovely pic Sean :) the boys are so like you - handsome! They look about the same difference in age as our two sons , only mine are 20 years older! Hope you all have a great Christmas , it's never as magical unless you have young kids around. Luckily we've got our two little nieces to stay for five days tomorrow so looking forward to seeing their little faces on Christmas morning :)

So, just over two months ago my wife and I got a puppy. You can see pictures of him here (http://www.movieforums.com/community/showthread.php?anchor=1&p=1206075#post1206075), among other places. We had lots of good name options but ended up going with Ike, after Dwight Eisenhower. So on the 24th my wife surprised me with this:
http://i.imgur.com/RZnZ9hh.jpg
Yes, that's our dog's head and paws photoshopped onto Eisenhower's Presidential portrait (http://www.nysun.com/pics/9377.jpg). She got it framed. Awesome.
I love presents like that, Yoda - things made especially for you. There's real heart and sentiment in it. My sister got me a really good camera bag and camera cleaning supplies, which is great and exactly what I wanted, but she's also going to sew me this little pouch for the supplies with cloth that has a "blood spots" design on it. It's perfect for me since I love horror. I love it!
Dig. I like to say that there are three factors that go into the perfect gift:
1. They have to like it (duh).
2. It has to be related to something about them that not just anyone would know.
3. It has to be something they wouldn't get for themselves.
That picture definitely checked all three boxes.

I did indeed. The wife even had him Photoshopped onto a mix of Eisenhower's Presidential portraits (http://www.movieforums.com/community/showthread.php?p=1226687#post1226687), which you just missed last week in this very thread.

Main (A) roads get salted but B roads only if there's a perceived high traffic. I live on a C road. ;)
Only half a mile from a A though but even it was snow covered this morning (I had to get some milk and decided to do it asap in case things got worse) when I went out.
I'm ok with driving in snow and ice but that's only because I spent a year commuting to work by going over a small mountain (well, technically a hill but the locals call it a mountain :p) and that winter taught me all I needed to know about the techniques involved.
When I was 17 I rolled my mum's car in the snow and ended up in a field, hitting a concrete post head-on. It's a 5 minute walk from where I'm typing this and the gate still has 'my' dent in it, 25 years on. ;D
