me too! I've never been roller skating but I went ice skating once and spend more time falling over than standing up.

I can't roller skate either. I can ice skate (a little bit), but I can't even stand up on roller skates.

When I was a teenager, I was asked to chaperone a child's roller skating party because the kid's mother thought all teenagers could roller skate, but she didn't tell me that was why she asked me to chaperone it. She got quite a shock when she found out that I couldn't roller skate. She expected me to skate around the rink with the kids just in case anything happened to anyone.

this was around the time of sunset . the sighting at the time of sunrise is supposed to be even more beautiful but you have to get up and start at 5 am in the morning to trek to the spot where sunrise can be sighted around 6 am . and i was too sleepy to get up early . besides the early morning chill is not easy to bear in the mountains where cold winds blow in late november . winter has started .

Nope. But it was a benefit concert for organizations that support wounded veterans of the United States Armed Forces. I forget what the final tally was? Somewhere in the neighborhood of $5,000, I believe.

been awhile since i shared some pics here!

this weekend, my mom hosted an arts & crafts day at her house. we decorated Christmas ornaments that were made from cinnamon and apple sauce. my mom mixed the two ingredients together - when mixed, it creates kind of a cinnamon-y playdough, and you can roll them out like cookies and then let them dry (takes a few days for them to dry enough to be decorated).

it was a really fun day - we laughed a lot. good times :D

OooK, so funny story time. my mom lives off a street called Seamen Trail, sooo we kept making semen jokes cause we may look like 20 and 30 something year old women but actually we're 12 year old boys. seriously, at one point i made the awful joke, "most people life off of meat and potatoes, but my parents live off Seamen" :cool:

Rodent, playing that card's name (I playerd it, I don't recall the name, trust me I played all 5 of them) is ok when you DON'T have internet, and it might get annoying at 500 victories. Also, I'm guessing you use Ctrl + Z cause there is no way that you didn't loose without it!!

Yeah it was amazing. Also passed the spot where John Denver's airplane crashed. That was eerie.

Yeah the coast is nice. My grandma lived in Salinas so I spent a lot of my childhood summers in Monterey and Santa Cruz. It was great.

I live in Vacaville though. No gorgeous coastline to see here. Just ugly hills covered in dead grass, a prison and an outlet mall.

Dani: Yea...my user name causes mucho confusion. The name is derived from The Wheel of Time series of books from the 1990s. Aes Sedai (Pronouced eyes SAID-eye) were the sort of magic user types in the series. I was using Sedai as an internet handle way back in the late 90s and many of the people in the Boston rave scene in the late 90s (I used to be a DJ back then) started calling me Mike Sedai, even though it isn't my name, Well, My name is Mike, but not Mike Sedai. Some old friends out here still have me in their phones as Mike Sedai!

Yep, and Photobucket ruined it. For a bit they had me believing that I did it when I tried to bunch all mine and Nebbit's old and new photos together, but since then, I've seen waaaaay too many people complaining about them. Now my older Photobucket book is missing many pictures. I had to redo a thread of mine on here, because of that. As far as the MoFo Bucket is concerned, some of those photos can't be replaced, because the members don't come here anymore. Needless to say, I told the bucket to f@ck it. :p

All my life since I was a tomboy kid playing footie in the street, I've believed that all people are on a sliding scale of feminine/masculine but never thought that labelling and boxing people into categories is in any way helpful. In fact it's really starting to piss me off. We are all human beings - people just get on with your own life and stop judging others or put yourself up to be merely a label. It's such a cliche but honestly when you get to my age you really do see that we only have one life - live it honestly and try and be the happiest you can! :D

I'm not surprised, she is gorgeous. I'm the same with my two little nieces. I'm sad they live 180 miles away. I went to stay for a long weekend last week and my brother told me the little one cried her eyes out when she got home from nursery and I'd gone home. Near broke my heart :(

Yeah I have a really big family so lots of nieces and nephews, and so great at family get togethers when a lot of them turn up. Huge range of ages and they all get on so well. We have such a tribe.

I think it's because naming things gives them an air of objectivity. In addition to subtly shaming people ("what, you've never heard of X?"), it implies that something is merely being diagnosed or identified, rather than proposed or invented.

Whether employed positively or negatively, having a word to refer to things essentially lets us off the hook of having to really consider them.

I've actually never heard that. It's always been how a woman dresses, how she has her hair, the fact that she doesn't wear make-up, how she carries herself, etc . . . I've always looked very feminine, but I've ALWAYS stood my ground. Most of the fights I've picked, were with men, but the most they ever called me, was one crazy bitch. "I'm not fighting her. As far as being branded a Christian, I think that if I had a Trump sticker on my jeep, or if I was wearing a George Bush T-shirt, then yes, that's what I'd be titled. Just a complete ignoramus and I wasn't personally affronted (except for the Sand N comment which I think is utterly disgusting) but it made me realise what muslim women are going through for wearing hijab. dteam told me women are having their hijabs ripped off in USA. Same thing is happening here. Makes me think of my neighbour who is the sweetest woman, nd her husband is the retired admin for a christian hospital here. Adorable couple, have an aussie bbq for friends and family almost every weekend. If they were racially vilified I would be pretty beeping angry, nd this is happening all over. It's straight out bullying by tools who think they can get away with it.
