I said I was after a new project after studying the Lincoln War for so long.




Fell lucky as well. These three books are all 5 volumes of the D'Artagnan Romances (The Three Musketeers, Twenty Years After, The Vicomte Of Bragelonne, Ten Years Later and The Man In The Iron Mask) spread over 3 separate 2001 editions.

Apparently getting hold of these novels separately is impossible as they're out of print now. Unless of course, second hand, which it appears is also difficult as they're hard to come by as a full set.


All 3 are available in a 2010 edition in a Box Sleeve for about £75...


... but the separate 2001 editions with embossed covers (which these are), are worth anything up to £300 when they're together!!!!


I got these, for a mere £6 for the lot at the local Market this morning and they're in mint condition, not even been read. can tell by the spines and by the fold of the pages when you open them :D

This is my newest tattoo. I got it yesterday. It is a memorial tattoo for my Grandpa on my Moms' side and my Grandma on my Dads' side. It is my birth symbol with crocus for Pap and primrose for Grandma.

I have had my Jason Voorhees tattoo done, im very happy with it :yup: Its the start to my horror sleeve im going for, In november I have a big piece in mind for the top of my arm, then going to concentrate on getting Freddy and Michael on my forearm, and possibly in time Captain Spaulding on the inner of my bicep.

Im hoping to get Michael next above Freddy :yup: then get the lower of my arm all shaded in using black/red shading and having ghostly faces/torchered souls, in between each tattoo. I have a big design sorted for the upper arm as well but that will come in time.

The movie is about the love of cinema. Jodorowsky has a childlike glee of all that is possible when he has a project he has faith in. He enlists "spiritual warriors" to help him in his mission to provide the world with a film which will satisfy people's desires for religion, drugs, sex, real love. He may be a cult leader and a madman, but he's benign and so enthusiastic that you can't help but want to be a part of his movie or at least see it. And I'm not really a fan of his movies, not giving any of them higher than 2.5, but this one is well-worthwhile, especially for curmudgeons like you and me who seemingly "hate" most films..

On Saturday night I heard an almighty crash and knew a tree had fallen down. I've got about 50 trees...

Soon found out that the tree which expired had fallen on the phone line and knocked my landline and broadband out. BT, to their credit, have just been out and fixed it. My broadband's about 10meg slower but it's still 25meg which is a relief more than anything - I thought I'd be out of action for weeks. ;)

I knew you'd comment something about him HK, being a United fan :) Despite watching almost all the games down in Cardiff this year, those photos are actually from a friendly the other night down where I live outside of Uni, was pretty surprising to see they brought down all the available players, and then everyone was happy to have photos and signings, Ole seemed like an especially nice guy like he comes across anyway.

Thanks, I had just had a hair cut actually :p And yeh, he's tiny but one of those players that doesn't need to be big to play, quite quick, great balance and touch/composure, honestly think he might be the best player I have seen play for Cardiff, at least in terms of potential, and I watched Aaron Ramsey play too, he's going to be a star. Says it all when such a young player is the star of the team, one of the only shining lights of last season. Mad to think that he's only a month older than me.

Cheers Christine :) We had an amazing time and seeing my favorite band for the first time was mind blowing.

I agree about a dog, I had a few growing up and loved every minute of them, the bathing, the walking, the training even the poop picking up. Me and my wife had a dog 4 years ago, it was our first real pet together and with our children. When my son was small we had gerbils which he loved but when we moved the landlord wouldnt allow them so our brother in law has them. The dog we had for a few months but we had to rehome her as our daughter is allergic to dogs and her asthma and allergies kicked off so bad, it was very sad to see her be so affected by the dog as she ADORED her as did we. But we found a family who owns a kennel who helps rehome dogs to other people and they look after the dogs while people go on holiday, we got chatting and as they love shih tzus they adopted her into their family, when they took our dog in they had 7 shih tzu and they treat her like a princess that she is. We still see pictures of her as they keep in contact. Passing her on was one of the single most hardest things we had to do, the kids were devastated as were we. But the way we look at it is we paid the evil people who had her and got her away from them and she spent some lovely times with us and she is living it up now in a great family home with other dogs and the land these people have is amazing.

The good news is since our daughter has gotten older she is 5 now her allergies are not as bad and the meds she is on has ment she doesnt need asthma inhalers as much. So we are hoping that one day we will be able to have another dog. Our son has Aspergers and he would love one as would we all but fingers crossed in the near future we will have one into our family :yup:

The sheep are fenced away all grazing lovely.

There is a park just up from where we were but as it was heaving we decided to climb the gate and play frisbee in the camping area :laugh:

Aww don't be too worried about that. It's better for her to be confident rather than cautious . We all worry about our kids but there's way more lovely people in the world than people who mean you harm. I've heard my sons reflecting on their inner city childhoods where we did allow them to play out on their own with their friends . The freedom to make your own mistakes within boundaries is all part of growing up, of course you know that from your own childhood but from my own experience try not to be over protective!!

You're right, it's much, much better her being the way she is rather than timid or overly cautious. The nurse describes her as "strong-willed," perhaps because she fights and screams like a feral cat whenever she needs a shot. (But she is strong-willed.) Everyone else describes her as a happy baby because she's always smiling and waving and blowing kisses. I think she'll be much more of a leader than a follower.

This is the tattoo that I am going to begin getting shortly. It is a celebration tattoo! I have gotten past Alcoholism, I hope, so this is a 5 year marker. It has my sober date at the top. It is an unfinished line drawing at the moment that you are seeing it here. He still has to put all the fine details into it, like the scales on the koi. All in all I think it is going to be AMAZING! It is going to cover the tribal and cross that I have on my right arm.
