Bored and procrastinating so I was messing with my webcam, seeing if I could make the pic bigger, but alas I couldn't. Anyways, heres a mug shot of the OG-. I kinda look like a wolf......

Yoda
02-27-02, 10:40 PM
Yeah, very wolfy. I've got the same thing going. My brother calls me Teen Wolf. Hilarious. I dunno where all the damn hair came from all of a sudden.

OG-
02-27-02, 10:54 PM
Yea I started to grow a beard, but wasn't feeling the way it looked, so I shaped it into burns and a gotee, I, and everyone else i know, love it so I decided to keep it.

Yoda
02-27-02, 10:58 PM
Damn you, my goatee won't come in thick enough...and the sideburns are taking their sweet-*** time. Anyway, looks good. Keep it. :yup:

spudracer
02-27-02, 11:00 PM
I did something like that a while back...here recently I was thinking about doing it again.

OG-
02-27-02, 11:05 PM
I always thought goates were for the birds, but then I grew one, and regardless of the way it looks I wouldnt get rid of it just because I love tugging on it soo much. It just feels cool. Gah im weird.

Yoda
02-27-02, 11:07 PM
That's not weird at ALL. I'm always pulling on the hairs on my pathetic little goatee. Damn my genes...I can't grow large amounts of facial hair. WTF? But no, that's not weird at all. It's another thing to mess around with.

Steve
02-27-02, 11:55 PM
D-d-d-damn! Who's that sexy cat with the goatee and the whooping cough?

It's Peter!

I think I should post a picture of me with a burning cigarette and a bottle of beer, and a bong on the table in front of me. And an angry look on my face. Yeah, what's up.

Back on topic, I don't have a goatee. I'm clean shaven. I don't know why.

mightymose
02-28-02, 12:07 AM
I've got a monster of a beard, used to be goate, but I decided to just grow the entire thing out (less shaving!)... I keep saying I am going to go ZZ Top with it, but I just don't have the cahones to go quite that far, LOL.

I can sympathize with ya though Chris. I have a spot the size of a dime where I can't grow much hair, but it's from frostbite and not natural causes. When I was younger I was out skiing with my dad and we were all excited b/c we were the only people on the ski hills, until we went inside and realized the wind chill was something like 40 below. We were well covered except for that small spot on my face :)

My mom's favorite story takes place when I was in 5th grade or so. My Grandmother took all us grandchildren to see a play and my older cousin turned around to me and said "Grandma takes us out to this nice play and you can't even take the time to wash your face!" Meanwhile all the adults are cracking up b/c I had forgotten to shave that morning

spudracer
02-28-02, 09:38 AM
I have a small area under my chin where hardly any hair will grow. I thought, boy am I a freak, then I was watching X-Men and saw that Hugh Jackman had somewhat the same thing.

So this morning when I got up I didn't shave, and nor will I this weekend just to see what comes of it. I'm also thinking about getting one of those electric razors where you can set it to a certain length and keep it there. That would come in handy for me. :D

sadesdrk
02-28-02, 12:31 PM
I'm taking notes on this conversation. I wanna show all my little girlfriends in my class how guys don't talk about girls when their together...they talk about facial hair.

Imagine if we were all in the same room.

sadesdrk

Yoda
02-28-02, 12:41 PM
Pshaw. I don't. I'm immune.

 Indeed, Spud. A few guys have told me that shaving it will cause it to grow back thicker than before...so I might try that...but I'm hesitant to try, because then I'll be without my pathetic goatee for at least a week or two...and that'd be annoying. I love it. I should take an updated picture for everyone...

That's a load of toffee mate, how it grows depends on the type of hair you have - I don't feel comfortable enough talking about bodily hair here - I don't know how old you are either - but if it doesn't grow good and proper by 18/19 it ain't growing proper at all.

Yoda
02-28-02, 01:13 PM
Well, don't worry, I don't really buy it -- even though some I know swear by it. I feel the need to try it out of curiousity, though. Not comfortable talking about body hair? Have you SEEN what SC and Sades and the others talk about here? Bodily hair is tame. Anyway, I know I'll never have a long beard, because very few of the men in my family do.

Fez Wizardo
02-28-02, 01:18 PM
It's worse if you get it and don't want it...pain in the arse shaving every morning, if I forget I end up looking scruffy. never good.

Yoda
02-28-02, 01:21 PM
Yeah, I'd rather have too litte than too much, no doubt. I don't even like using my electric shaver for a few minutes every 2-3 days...wouldn't be able to stand going full-on every day.

Hey, my WebCam's working...so I might take some shots later. The light from the window in this room is completely awful, though. I need a digital camera.

OG, you look like the hero from The Time Machine!! His chin, anyway.

Hmm, beards. Rubbing against a guy's cheek scruff feels good . But back hair on a man is not cool. I know that's the norm though but I can settle for someone keeping it in check. I saw a dude out with his girl once and it was growing out of the back of his shirt collar ... *shudders* ...

Let me just say, if you insist on being hairy, that you keep that sh|t soft. Combed, groomed, cleaned, conditioned, all that jazz. Scrubbed and healthy. Then we can live with it. Maybe even like it. sigh.

OG-
02-28-02, 03:41 PM
Aye, for all you girlies out there heres a conversation between myself, Steve, and Ryan that happened during english today. Well here are subjects we touched on at least:

My goatee, Steve came in class saying it looked terrible, hes just made because I won't make out with him.

Ryans facial hair, in comparison to mine, much like people on this board discussed. He let me borrow some trimmer thing I have to bring back tomorrow.

The substitute teacher and how she looked like the queens daughter alien in Alien Resurection.

Make out factors of us and people in the class. Thats when it got the best, analyzing people. We went into some other factors as well, but I'll abstain from mentioning those. A pretty good debate grew out of that.

What else....poems...movies...music, some other stuff.

But unlike many girlies think, guys dont get together and just talk about sex, as I think many girlies do.

Hoy.

'nother dumb question (i'll be done soon, i swear :D )

how can i tell how many pixels or bytes any random pic i have on my computer is? also, what happens if i try to use a pic that's too large in my avatar?

will i have to go directly to jail, not passing "go" and not collecting 200 dollars? because i really need that 200 bucks......

Yoda
03-05-02, 11:34 PM
Right-click on the file on your hard drive and select "Properties" from the resulting menu. There should be two tabs. I think the first (the one it defaults to when it first comes up) displays, among other things, the size. The other tab should contain the width and height somewhere.

BrodieMan

Yoda
03-05-02, 11:39 PM
Mr. Woods: yes, I've got PSP7 and Animation Shop.

Ms. Patti:  Yeah, if you look close you can see the goatee in there a little. It ain't getting any bigger, unfortunately.

Mr. Chocolate Pretzels: 17,000 bytes, or, more likely, 17,000 KB (kilobytes)? The limit, I believe, is 204K...which is one-fifth of a MB, basically.

BrodieMan
03-05-02, 11:43 PM
LOL..... i just found out what happens when i try to use an image that's too large. what's with all the futurama avatar images? i'm a fan, but where's the simpsons stuff?

Yoda
03-05-02, 11:46 PM
Spud uploaded a bunch of Futurama stuff. Good avatars are hard to find, and it's been difficult finding Simpsons equivalents...I've got some, but most are small and/or fuzzy. If I find some, rest assured I'll slap 'em up there.

BrodieMan

mightymose
03-05-02, 11:59 PM
I found that it really helps to crop the image down as small as possible before you resize it to 70x70 (or whatever the small size is). My avatar looked horrible after I did a simple resize. After I cropped the heck out of it and then resized it looked fine.

Stanley the Manly Cat. Does he drive cars, too? You've got some nice, crazy hair, by the way, man. Few people today appreciate a good head of completely wild hair. I don't mean wild like shocking (blue and right, sticking right up, etc)...I mean wild so that it looks like it's just a lawn that hasn't been mowed for awhile, so it starts poking every which way. I dig it.

I had an entire conversation on a bulletin board with someone once regarding the make and model of German cars. The conversation began discussing German Exchange students. Soon German Car became the code word and the sexual inneuendo was flying...

"Leather interior, rear entry, headlights, great fuel intake, and they mind the syphoning of petrol. Oh yeah, I'd love to have sex with a German Car."

It got pretty ridiculous.

and what's this dvorak deal? chris? my typing skills would take a nose dive if you moved the letters around on me.

spudracer
03-14-02, 11:27 AM
It's a different type of keyboard, obviously, not very common however.

Yoda
03-14-02, 11:32 AM
It works like this: the most common type of keyboard (the QWERTY keyboard) originated with typewriters. Typewriters had to arrange their letters in such a way that the stampers (or whatever you want to call them) wouldn't slam into each other when typing quickly. That layout is what we still use. However, it's not the most efficient layout, because it was arranged that way simply for the physical limitations of typewriters. Now, with keyboards, it makes no difference what order they are in, so a more efficient design was developed.

The QWERTY keyboard, in the top-left hand corner of the rows of letters, begins with those: Q-W-E-R-T-Y. A DVORAK keyboard is named under the same principle. Apparently, if you learn to type using a DVORAK keyboard, you save a lot of finger-blood in the long run...but personally I think any efficiency gained that way is likely to be offset, at least for quite awhile, by having to..

1) slowly become less accustomed to using the type of keyboard that almost EVERYONE else uses...so good luck typing well on someone else's keyboard if you ever have to.

2) learn a whole new way of typing.

I'm sticking with QWERTY -- I can type 60-70 WPM with it no problem and don't see a compelling reason to switchover right now...at least not while it's still so rare.

Hellooooooooo, Dorian. So nice of you to stop lurking around the edges and finally start posting again! Too bad you missed out on all the special bonding between most of the MoFos around here. Maybe you can catch up.:) In the meantime, in reguards to your comment about our cult...there's just certian qualifications you have to have to join, that you just don't have. hey, i'm just playing around. :) don't get upset. weren't you the one who laughed at spud's booger?

The Silver Bullet
03-17-02, 01:12 AM
I know.

:D

BrodieMan
03-17-02, 01:14 AM
did you get your wisdom teeth pulled? that was the only operation they ever performed on me awake. the doped me up pretty well, but being able to feel them literally pull an entire molar out of my mouth wasn't pleasant.

then the stuff wore off and the next couple days were spent with an unbelievably sore bleeding mouth. what a drag.

thmilin
03-17-02, 04:00 AM
hmm, having mine out wasn't such an ordeal ... during anyway.

see, it went down like this. they put some mask over my face and next thing I know i wake up humming to the radio and it's over. it literally took like, 2 seconds. and i find i know like, every word to the song and i'm singing around the jaw clamp and schtuff in my mouth and then it's removed and i'm blinking, looking around making "huhh? you're done?" noises and the doc is like, yep, all done.

then the nurse comes round and she's like, we thought you were crying from the start and could feel it but then we realized you were singing along. I mumbled, the whole time? she said, yes, every word to every song, from start to finish. my dad was there for it all, too. i told my best friend and she was disappointed that she wasn't there to laugh at me.

after that though i felt like sh|t. the jaw clamp and prolonged stretching of facial muscles gave me the most incredible headache i've ever had in my life i couldn't walk straight, the light hurt, it was awful, so we stumbled back the next day and they gave me codeine. heh.

i just ate soft foods for like 2 days and i was fine, a couple cotton wads, that's it. no hard core bleeding and stuff. so why the stob stories, fellas?

sorry, this has nothing to do with pics, but there go my 2 cents. :)

BrodieMan
03-17-02, 11:35 PM
lol...... we're just sensitive guys ;)

seriously, it wasn't a total horror story, it's just the couple days after the operation my mouth bled and hurt a lot.

the surgery itself wasn't painful at all. like i said, i was completely out there. i had a total buzz going the entire time. it was just sort of surreal to be able to feel them slice my gums open and pull my molar out. it's almost like a waking dream or something. lol.... i dunno, i don't like being awake but i'm not enough of a wuss to ask to be put to sleep for it. i know people who requested to be put under. that's a little much, i think.

oh, and a couple weeks after, my sutures dissolved and fell out while i was in class. i had to sit there and swallow them. that was gross.

lol....... i'm sure these tales of my bloody surgery are really making a good impression, thmilin. lol....... we could change the topic if you want. ;)

thmilin
03-18-02, 02:10 AM
i'm man enough to take it, how about you, wuss?!

lol, I don't remember having sutures. Just big gaping holes. Not really big, I have little teeth that my father is always telling me to be careful with. They're small and dainty Miriam, take care of them, blah blah blah. I still get a little thrill when a dentist sees them for the first time and tells me they're pretty. That must mean something to a dentist! Oh, what a way to swoon a girl.

Back to blood and guts. are you supposed to be swallowing such things? that's nasty man, just spit the sh|t out! let the world see your hard work. i didn't ask to be put under, they just did it. sleeping gas I guess but apparently i wasn't totally asleep if I was singing the whole time. but i'm definitely not into feeling them cut into me - painless or not. i'm never squeamish and am pretty calm whenever dentists go at it in my mouth but, between being knocked out and awake, come ON ... why not take a snooze?

anyway, what's this about spud's booger?

Thanks. I don't wear them all that often. I wear my leather jacket a lot.

I started wearing leather when I was 12. I love it.

ladies and gentlemen. the birth of S&M. or would that be, d/S?

just kidding!! leather is nice but i'm picky about it. men look good in them jackets but those things cust a fortune! i have a weakness for suede. i think it's my favorite form above all. a slight nap, as opposed to the shiny patina moves me more. some leathers just remind me too much of patent fake leather sunday school shoes. blech.

Leather; hell yes. I don't wear it often, but I try. It's not the most comfortable of things, but it sure looks nice. Anyway, I don't dig the sweater thing...not unless it's a really, really light sweater, maybe with the sleeves rolled up. I can live with that. Otherwise, I look too much like the end of a Disney movie. :)

i wear sweaters all the time. it's just a combination of them looking nice in a casual not-too-overdressed kinda way, and the fact that they're comfortable.

Chris.
You need to make a huge mural of faces of you sitting at your computer. It'd sell. Much like Warhol's 201 Coke Bottles.

I've got a better idea.

Each MoFo gets to make ONE comment to you, and then we get the reaction. We'll make a little catalogue.

See on the right hand top of your post, that button that says, edit? You can go in your post and add something...that way..you're not double or triple posting. It's kind of a "no-no".
