The last two I bought were Family Guy, season 3 and Pulp Fiction. To tell you the truth, I never saw Pulp Fiction when I bought it and man, I wasn't dissapointed at all. I thought it was a great movie. And most movies I see, I don't call them great movies. It was provocative, clever, original, witty, interesting and it had real passion in it. I'd recommend the movie to most anyone and If you haven't seen it, you should. You'll enjoy it immensely from start to finish.

Underworld
Because I honestly beleive this is one of the greatest action/thriller movies ever made...you'd think it'd be pure gore because of the subject of Vampires and Werewolves, but they prove you wrong. The feeling is great as you watch it. The color of the movie is dark and goes well with the title and the overall feeling.
Underworld was great which one you get? Extended Cut? I think Kate Beckinsale is really hot got a poster of her in Van Helsing off ebay. SeXy Purp Lips. Van helsing was ok too. But i liked Underworld Better

Open Range: To see what the fuss was about. Very good film, and could reignite Costner's Career as a director.
X-Men 2: Loved the first film so I wanted to get this. Fun to watch but slower paced than X1.
Resident Evil: Again to see what the fuss wa about, and again a very good film. Loved the red dress, leather jacket and tall boots look :p

Last movie I bought was American Splendor, because I was smart and waited for it to go to 6.99 previously viewed on dvd. Tough choice between renting some stupid movie or buying a great movie.
I have gone pretty lax on my dvd buying days, I was up to a point where I was buying 3-4 dvds a week, and my dvd collection grew to about 400 from 100 in a couple months. Now I dont really find anything I really care to own unless I find a new Criterion Collection DVD at a store.
American Splendor was pretty good. Get your Theater System yet Tolstoy? I rent my movies before i buy'em. If its good enough to buy i'll buy it. But before i use to buy 1 new release a week i had like 100 dvds. i sold the ones i didnt want on eBay got good prices now i have like 30 dvds. the last dvd i bought was the Godfather. The NExt One i want to buy is Dead Like me. I rented the some kind of dvd. well the only episode i saw was the exploit. it was funny. Thx to Jrs i would have never probably heard of it.

Well, the recognition came late, and they re-released it to a wider distribution this past summer. R. Kelly also got to re-cut the film to better represent his vision. I haven't had a chance to see the extended cut yet.

Slacker (d. Richard Linklater - 1991)
I'd fallen in love with Linklater's Waking Life, and was very interested in seeing his first film, which had a very interesting style of plot. I thought the film was quite good, but now thinking about it, should of bought a better film from the Criterion Collection. Not that I'm dissapointed with my choice of purchase, just thought I could've done better and bought something of Fellini or Kurosawa.

A Clockwork Orange and Dracula.
I bought A Clockwork Orange because sometimes I like to watch a masterpiece that makes you think and allows room for interpretation.
I bought Dracula because I had forgotten Mr. Coppola directed it, and when I saw his name I got excited and grabbed it. He will always have my respect for taking care of Apocalypse Now, but lately... lets just say I've heard tings'.

I just recently purchased the DVD of "Missing Brendan." This is by far one of the better films I have purchased in a very long time. In short, this picture is about a missing soldier from the Vietnam War whose family goes looking for him and they run into all different sorts of obstacles. This movie co-stars Adam Brody of The OC ("Seth") and really is a great film. I would strongly suggest purchasing this DVD. For more information about the film, as well as to view the trailer, visit www.missingbrendan.com. If you have seen this film, or go and purchase it, come back and let me know what you think, because I think this movie is really outstanding.

Lost in Translation & Memento
Lost in Translation because it has "Bill F*ckin' Murray" (quote from Coffee and Cigarettes) and I think he's a funny man. I haven't seen it yet, but what the hell you know, if it sucks I have a new coaster. That's what we call a win-win situation.
Memento, um, I remember it being alright, I think. I'm always thinking Skeletor when the main character's on camera though.

The Untouchables - Thsi movie is hands down one of the greatest gangsters flicks I've come across. Originality and Costner just rules
Lock, Stock, and Two Smokings Barrels - This movie is amazing. It's clever, funny, and I love Brits. Guy Ritchie needs to make more of these.
Oceans 11 - It's just spectacular. Amazing cast. Awesome dialogue. Superb Acting.
Donnie Brasco - God, Depp and Pacino just took this movie and dragged it through a fairy world and made it great. Most of it was on Depp's behalf, who just played his characterS amazingly.
The Usual Suspects - Wow. This movie left me wowed at the end. Amazing acting, great story telling, and it had me fooled.

This is my favorite TV show of all time, even at age 16. I brought this into drama club along with my portable DVD player, and a whole bunch of us watched it. I was quite surprised that people my age knew about it! Anywho, not only was it ahead of its time when it first came out with great stories and story telling, The Twilight Zone is probably the only thing that I can sit down and enjoy watching, as compared to watching a film by Spielberg, Lucas, Romero and Zemeckis who make me want to go out and make movies just like them, and even Seinfeld who makes me wish that I could do comedy like him. The Twilight Zone is just that one show where I could just relax and enjoy Rod Serling's amazing way of storytelling. No wishing... no jealousy... just pure enjoyment and entertainment. And sometimes, scary.
EDIT: This reguarly costs $120, simply because a book is included. I got it on sale, 25% off at FYE. I think it was like, $89 I'm gonna say...?

X-Men 2: Loved the first film so I wanted to get this. Fun to watch but slower paced than X1.
Resident Evil: Again to see what the fuss wa about, and again a very good film. Loved the red dress, leather jacket and tall boots look :p

There is a easter egg (http://www.dvdtalk.com/eggs/read.php?ID=24)for this movie that tell you how to be able to watch the movie in the correct chronological order. It is on the second disc.
To access the chronological re-edit, select the Clock, and choose C on the following five pages. You'll see a quiz that shows four illustrated panels of a woman changing a flat tire on her car. The quiz asks you to place the panels in chronological order. The trick, of course, is to place the panels in backwards order, which is 3, 4, 1, 2. After you do so, the film begins playing its scenes in chronological order. Playfully, this cut starts with the end credits rolling downwards. After that, the film's forward-moving black-and-white sequences begin, focusing mostly on the Sammy Jankis back story. (The chapters have simply been rearranged in chronological order.) This re-edit is presented in Dolby ProLogic. Although you can't fast-forward or skip forward through this presentation, you can jump to certain time codes.
It's nice to watch again after you view it in it's regular format first.

I was in a store yesterday and saw some good movies in the '3 for £20' section. Then I saw some good movies in the '2 for £15' section.
I'm a greedy sod so created my own '5 for £35' section -
Lawrence of Arabia - replacing a VHS copy.
Spartacus - ditto.
Scarface (De Palma) - you guessed it. ;)
Black Hawk Down & Dog Soldiers - They're not bad movies but mainly they were bought so I could get my hands on the first 3 films, which doesn't make much fiscal sense.
But I'm like that...
Hot Shots - U.S.$5.50 at Wal*Mart
Back to the Future - Trilogy Box Set - U.S.$18 at Costco
"Seinfeld" - Seasons 1 & 2 - For Valentine's Day
I just ordered the following, but they haven't arrived:
Apocalypse Now (not the Redux; I hate that version)
The Warriors
Airplane!
Kiss Me Deadly

I guess Black Hawk Down's as loud and slick as you'd imagine any movie collaboration between Ridley Scott and Jerry Bruckheimer to be. It's an above-average War movie but more 'Brit thesps get shot down for crimes against accents' than, say, The Dambusters.
Dog Soldiers, I've only seen once (while quite drunk so can't say too much 'til I watch it again) though remember getting into a heated online 'exchange of views'...ermmm...ok, argument a while back over it's merits. It was only much later that I realized that I'd been slagging off Buffalo Soldiers instead and retreated into a bashful silence for roughly a week.

the last dvd (s) i bought were
Man on Fire (2-Disc Special Edition) because its sucha detailed film which never ever fails to impress me. the camerwork reminds me of something out of collateral, but the story is just brutal, touching and funny.
also i got
Hero (not a good as house of flying daggers but still definately worth buying)
and SAW (the film is so cool just coz of the ending and teh impact that it has on everyone who watches it. it may not be the best film of last year but it was certainly entertaining) :)

The Last DVD I bought was Troy!
I love that movie!
I give it a 10/10!! :D
Brad Pitt did an awesome job! And naked too!! :p
Eric Bana's character as Hector was my favorite.
He's as strong as Russel Crowe as Maximus in Gladiator!
Great story and cinematography!!!! A++++++!!!!
Yu-Gi-OH: The Movie ~ I brought of Ebay, phh like I was going to wait another two weeks for it to be released in Australia, how patient do you people think I am? As for why I brought it, simply for being a true fan your kinda obliged to see it and I didnt mind it, not ten out of ten but definately above a five for personal enjoyment.
