disc rot is overblown, and when you do come across a rotted disc it�s likely a manufacturing defect than outside elements.

Some DVDs are made cheaply and just aren't usable. I've had DVDs from 2000 work just fine.

DVD rot...maybe that's why my Star Trek Deep Space Nine DVD boxed set that I bought new five years ago, is screwed up. I just started rewatching these and I've had 8-12 DVDs in the first four seasons not play. They're not visibly scratched, so maybe they have rot? Another reason why I'm not a big fan of DVDs these days.

I'm expecting a handful of things in the mail today, so a typical week for me to have things arrive. Well we live near a small park, and in the parking lot on the way home from picking up the kiddos at school there were two USPS trucks in the park parking lot. I guess they were having a staff meeting? Now the question is; where are my shipments?
