I had long hair for many of my early adult years, mostly because we were poor and it's cheaper to just let it grow and never get it properly cut. :D 

But I had it short through most of my teen years (it's very thick), and I knew it was easier to manage. So about 10-15 years ago I went back to short hair (and also stopped coloring it). Now it's shorter, still thick, and takes about 3-4 minutes to blow dry. And that's all I do with it. I use an all-natural shampoo bar each morning, and that's it. No conditioner, no "product," no hairspray. Just that shampoo bar, and a quick blow-dry, and I don't have to think about it the rest of the day.

I am clearly a low-maintenance gal. :D[/quote]
