Yeah, I mean the 2023 film, hence the "very good recent film".

Do you mean the Carter Smith and Jack Stanley one? I’ve put two films called ‘The Passenger’ on my list and now I’m a bit confused as I’m sure they were distinct.
This was new stuff, 2023 (potentially 2022?). Not 1975.

It was the collapse of the Big Choco Chip Lobby. The Cookie Crisp Burglar did not return our request for comment.

Cathartic
Too sick to complete the neo-noir, and outside of a few, I'd probably skew the results.
Oppenheimer and Zielona Granica are two obvious examples. Chlopi to an extent, too. Just doesn't look that good from the trailer plus I disliked Loving Vincent.
There are many recent films I can comfortably say I'm just not interested in seeing. A few years ago I'd force myself to watch them just so that I could check them out and present my opinion to others, but these days even my film-watching and opinion-giving became solitary, so I couldn't care less.
The hype Barbie received made me want to hate it even more, but while mediocre, there definitely are worse films. Like Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle - hands down the worst film I've seen in 2024 so far.

Yeah, all's good. The two most glorious new films are still unavailable or the subs are unavailable. I watched two 2023 films in the past three days, though, which is a lot.

Still, Herzog is quite weird with his words. He praised a Kanye West video and I could swear he was being sarcastic and actually hated it.
Also: Herzog agrees with you:

"Werner Herzog saw the first 30 minutes of Barbie, declares them "sheer hell""

For the record, i am skipping Barbie entirely, so will only see 9 of the 10 noms this season...
