The Shoutbox
Shaddup.
Why doesn't that suprise me....

Well, I wasn't nuts about some of the ways his return was handled...though, admittedly, almost anything would've irked me somewhat. I also thought it was ridiculous that there was NO mention of God that I noticed. None. At all. I don't care if the character is religious, the overwhelming majority of people in his situation would give some thought to that sort of thing. And we saw none of it.
And then he'll win again, hopefully.
The first guy to win three Best Actor awards, would he be?

What were your beef's with Cast Away's script?
The lack of speaking or the ending or the romance or what?
Yes...I'm weeping.
He'll prolly get nominated for The Road to Perdition or something next year.
Can you believe the amount of Shout's we've made Chris?

It's ridiculously sad...
Yeah, I hate the way they try to make up for past indiscretions. I agree with you about Hanks last year; he was AMAZING in that movie, even if I have a beef or two with the actual script. He totally carried it, though. I was in awe.
Tom Hanks rocks.
This is the first in ages he hasn't been nominated. The guy is a Golden God.
See I think Tom deserved it last year for Cast Away and this year Russ does deserve it for A Beautiful Mind. But he already has on Oscar for a film he didn't deserve it for. Therefore: should he not get the Award and use last years one the he didn't deserve as compensation.

Basically giving him the award for this film happened last year?

God, I hate the Academy's lack of logsitcs...
If I wanted to say it, I would have. Don't worry, Sades; all is cool.

I dig Hanks. He'll never be too good, IMO. I'll never get tired of him winning Oscars. Go figure.
