because of *drum roll* global warming, it suddenly has an evolutionary jump and suddenly can survive in humans. You know, like, overnight.
Another cliche, movie evolution only takes a few decades or a few generations.

The freaky part is they don't even go into how those types of fungi don't even invade the brain of their hosts. They take complete control of everything else, and the brain is just along for the ride. That is FAR more terrifying than turning into a pimpled buttface.

Silly on paper, but the show executes it well for what it is.

"You can go to graduate school to become a barista??"
Yes! You may choose any discipline and get certified. Baristas require a false sense of superiority, anger at lack of career success, and a gig that isn't considered a career but a bougie signal of temporarily delayed success.

Tipping well is something I enjoy, but it is based on merit.
The waiter that explains everything on the menu and never lets a water glass go dry. Clerks at a hotel ensuring your stay is the best it can be. That bartender that let’s play that Waylon Jennings song twice.

My thoughts on tipping often lead me to all our blue-collar heroes. The person running the machine that makes the cup, the lift-truck operator loading beans at the roaster, the field-hand tending the crop. On average, what percent of their income is tip derived?
The service industry choses to use these compensation structures and people agree to the terms they work under. When did a truck driver as you for a tip on the last package you got?
To a degree, the burden lies on the employer, not the customer.
