Did the guitar have a tremolo system on it? If so, that's a fair price. If not, that is kind of high, unless the guitar was in bad shape and needed work done on the neck or something. 

That said, professional setups are generally completely worth it. They adjust the action, intonation, neck relief and usually give the electronics a once over to make sure everything is sound. They also clean and oil the fret board.[/quote]
