Yeah, there have only been a few great films, a handful of good films and some mediocre or bad ones. Out of the films I have watched, 27 of them I rated a 6/10 or less.

Quite a few did/will come from India, though. Indian cinema has been slowly but steadily trumping Hollywood for the last 20 years. Malayalam cinema in particular had quite a boom in the past 10 or so years and yet I don't see anybody talking about it here. When it comes to action/adventure/arthouse Indian cinema left Hollywood so far in the back that it's embarrassing.

I've seen 48 films from 2024.
I've only seen three films from 2024 but Malaikottai Vaaliban was very good and definitely better than both the disappointing Challengers and okayish Soundtrack to a Coup d'Etat. Cu Li Never Cries might top it once it gets a wide release, though.
