The Shoutbox
Basically, this place has a billion managers, and the overarching feeling I got while working there was they felt entitled to their position/title.

And they have a lovely open door policy as long as you don't say bad things.
Well, 3 of them were middle managers, and I'm of the opinion that they left because of the way they were overworked. I know for a fact one left because of my treatment from HR (they point blank said...I'm leaving because if they did you dirty and I don't want to be next). Also, those three managers were friend coworkers, and I remember hearing constantly from them about working 15+ days straight at times and having their a** chewed out for little things.

Also, the manager above those 3 I am referring to is a good friend and he told me that in all the hotels he has worked at this one is probably the worse. Oh, and now, he's the only manager for his particular department, so I can't even imagine how much he's getting worked.

I did some really tough sums once.

LOL
From what I am learning, it's not the industry. It's the laziness of people.
I think you'd need something to compare it to. Some industries just have a lot of turnover. Some jobs people just don't like, so they do them for awhile when they have to, but leave when they can, but because they only do them when they have to they don't have to be particularly enjoyable.
Problems with middle management?

That you don't like working, and they don't either.
Days of yore: shout bump.

@Sexy: Your next post--10,666--that's ten times worse than 666. Believe me, dark times are ahead. Storms are brewing. Etc. Etc.
