The Shoutbox
Really John? I just can't agree. At the time of its release, FFVII was indeed the king of all RPG. At this point in time, story aside, it is a clunky, annoying relic. I mean, if you enjoy sitting through 30+ second spell animations after slogging through endless random encounters, be my guest, but that sort of archaic design in RPGs is better off dead, IMO.

Incredible game for its time, but, that time is long past... I just can't get into the gameplay anymore...
I just love the whole irony of it being called FINAL Fantasy VII...

SC ... You think you're going to put a line like that in the shoutbox and not tell the story behind it? C'mon!
I hate Wednesdays because Sylvia Browne is on Montel.
Final Fantasy VII is one of only two games I got emotionally attached too. I actually got teary-eyed in one part of the game. The second game would be all of the Metal Gear Solid series.

FFVII is, IMO, the father and king of all RPGs to-date. I also think MGS lead the way for sneaking games. Splinter Cell fans, thank Hideo Konjima.
I know I'm on the other end of the gaming spectrum with pure adventure games (no FPS for me, thanks). Myst players are either diehard fans or just don't get the appeal.

I am forever trying to recreate my first Myst experiences of the mid-'90s. Totally fascinating and changed the way gaming was handled at the time.

But, not for everybody, I realize.
GameFan said that when the game first came out. I think they made a very, very good prediction.
Nah, John. Every geek nerd knows Myst Online is the best game out there. (Go Gametap!)

Yeah, come on guys, let's keep it clean.
Yes Sedai, FFVII for PS. I hooked up the PS2 in my living room so I could play while laying on the couch. I've been sick so, gotta do something. Man, I forgot how much fun it is too.

And I can delete all your shouts... Let's keep stuff like that off that main page, please.
Fixed.
