Was I the only one that voted for Titan A.E.
Nope!

In fact, here is my entire list:

Watership Down
Heavy Metal
Grave of the Fireflies
Waking Life

The Nightmare Before Christmas
The Jungle Book
In retrospect, my affinity for cyberpunk/dark animation clearly won out over any sort of objective take in the genre itself. I think that is just fine, btw.
So yeah...
Wings of Honnaimaise not making it...I presume it stems from lack of exposure in both recent pop culture and on this here movie site. There are no mecha here...no over-the-top acid-dreams...no svelte assassin chicks choking people with their own neckties. This is a simple story of two factions on the brink of war, and a man with a dream to get into space for the first time ever. Just a great, complete, touching story. If you haven't seen this one, or have perhaps been turned off by some of animations more bombastic titles, give this one a shot.
Titan A.E. - Not as surprised this didn't make the cut, but I still like this one a lot. This flick has stellar animation work in it, and a somewhat outdated soundtrack that still works in places, but might turn some folks off. Yes, it has two big names in the lead voice roles, and to many purists, this was chaff, but I am a fan!
Ninja Scroll - Again, I am a little stumped here, but I guess I get why this didn't make it. In the 90s, in the rave scene, this thing was legendary. It's gory, brutal, and WAY over the top. It also totally rocks. Ninja Scroll is anime, sure, but it was incredibly well known and VERY popular in the 90s. Surprised it didn't place at all.
Anyway - Great job, all! Thanks to Ms. Vicky for all her hard work through all this.
