Like I said, not many would be able to possibly participate in 50s and 40s but I would love to do those ones as well.

Me personally, I enjoy the 40s and 50s more than 60s and 70s, so let's keep going! He'll even the 30s has some damn fine gems.

I enjoy those decades just as much, but the 70s hold a special place for me, as I was just a wee lad, spending many of my formative years during in that particular decade - no skipping the 70s!

It certainly depends on what the lists are intended for. Personally, I use the list making to devote much more time than normal towards a specific decade, and sharpening my knowledge on that period in world cinema. If this is the case for others, then decade lists are far more useful than a list of greatest films, in part because it allows other hidden gems (like, depending on Harry Lime's ranking, The Three Crowns of the Sailor) of decades to show up that would otherwise get lost in more classically canon (plus the 90s stuff IMDb era people fawn over) and well-known films. I had a wonderful time scouring endless lists to find interesting movies, and I'd like to continue with that motivation.

70's, then i'd be up for 60's, 50's, 40's and so on. Id be more than happy to sit out a decade if i havnt watched enough of it and pick up some movies from it. Plus, even if not as many decide to enter a list, then it may not take that long.
