I mean, one of the best cinematic arguments on Christianity, one of those rare films where a filmmaker’s passion is palpable throughout the entire runtime, something I consider genuinely spiritual. I go back and forth between it and Taxi Driver as my #1 from Marty (both had huge impacts on me during my adolescence.)

Obviously I find it endlessly watchable. Even on its meager budget it manages to feel more authentic than just about every other movie of its kind (even with the New York accents.)
