The Shoutbox
I caught an episode of Dirt recently... Somewhat interesting, and pretty dark...I think I will DVR a few more and give em a shot...
I'm sure it's a nice show and all, but seeing as how it's replacing Studio 60, it's kind of tainted, to me. Not that S60 is a masterpiece, by any stretch of the imagination; it's disjointed and not at all what I've come to expect of Sorkin in terms of overall focus and singularity of purpose. But it's still quite enjoyable.

One shudders to think how good it would be with some of its more glaring inconsistencies ironed out.
I was addressing Pyro, too... just didn't get the message in before you posted.
I watched The Black Donnellys last night. Not sure what to think yet.

I thought the ending of the show was really great (Even if it was a complete Godfather ripoff)
Yea, I was talking to Pyro Tramp, however.
I think she knew it came from an Asian film when Monhan, who was winning for Best Adapted Screenplay, thanked the writers of Infernal Affairs, which she recognized as an Asian film.
With the new forum software, I can apply changes to the code with far, far less fear of having to re-apply them when the next upgrade comes around.

In other words, expect lots of little tweaks and improvements over the next week or two.
Well, if you've seen the commercial for Internal Affairs on DVD it makes mention of The Departed. However, it doesn't make that mention in the opposite direction. I'm guessing IA has more to gain from mentioning The Departed then the other way around.
It was a genuine question since i didn't watch the awards and recently got the DVD which made no mention to it. And Aus, how just by the word 'adapted' did you infer the movies Asian origins?

And Bobby, in regard to IMDBs top 250 list, i'm sure i read that for a film to rank in it, certain votes have to have come from more than just Johnny Fan Boy, which is why a film with the same amount of votes as film in the list and say an 8.4 rating don't make the top 250.
Photobucket's pissing me off. That's all.
Wow, after a month I finally finished a book that should have only taken 2 weeks to read. However, I can now read some Thomas Paine. I'm rather excited.
