I apologize, I really didn't hear it (it must've slipped under the radar during the simultaneous translation to Croatian).

One wonders how and why Infernal affairs wasn't even nominated in 2002, and how exactly does a film that is essentially a copy of the Asian original win for best picture. Wonderful category too, that adapted screenplay one...winning an Oscar for something you basically just rewrote a tad.
The ending of Heroes was sad
Pyro ... I was a bit too terse in my post. I think during the nomination-reading and subsequent acceptance brouhaha, they not only mentioned the movie but somehow it came out that it was of Asian origins. All I know is, it was clear to me that he hadn't written it as an original screenplay. (That's why there are two categories, of course.)
Funny, I'm watching an ad for it right now. I keep telling myself I don't need to get hooked on yet another TV show right now, though! (Swamped with freelance work.)
I caught an episode of Dirt recently... Somewhat interesting, and pretty dark...I think I will DVR a few more and give em a shot...
I'm sure it's a nice show and all, but seeing as how it's replacing Studio 60, it's kind of tainted, to me. Not that S60 is a masterpiece, by any stretch of the imagination; it's disjointed and not at all what I've come to expect of Sorkin in terms of overall focus and singularity of purpose. But it's still quite enjoyable.

One shudders to think how good it would be with some of its more glaring inconsistencies ironed out.
I was addressing Pyro, too... just didn't get the message in before you posted.
I watched The Black Donnellys last night. Not sure what to think yet.

I thought the ending of the show was really great (Even if it was a complete Godfather ripoff)
Yea, I was talking to Pyro Tramp, however.
I think she knew it came from an Asian film when Monhan, who was winning for Best Adapted Screenplay, thanked the writers of Infernal Affairs, which she recognized as an Asian film.
With the new forum software, I can apply changes to the code with far, far less fear of having to re-apply them when the next upgrade comes around.

In other words, expect lots of little tweaks and improvements over the next week or two.
