It's kind of wasted on me, I thought of it as a downside since I'm "paying for it" but will probably get far less use out of it than most people. If I could cut it down to a one-car and get more yard I would (and I'd be tempted to do away with it entirely if not for resale considerations sometime down the line). Hey, in our case we have a huge two-car garage that will likely never house a car because it's a storage area instead (for tools, a snowblower, the lawn mower, a generator, gas cans, shovels, weed whackers, and even spare appliances. 

At least now you have a place to store a lot of those outdoor things that come with having a yard. :) 

Also, an attached garage would steal some of the heat in the winter. Detached = don't have to heat it in any way. Can you remote-start your car from the house to warm it up, or is the garage too far/not windowed on the right side for that to work?[/quote]
