I never said that politics should be left alone in regards to the discussion of art, though - if anything, art is inherently political (even if a given piece is lacking in overtly political content) and engaging with that is a necessary part of gaining a deeper appreciation for the form. Otherwise, it's just surface-level aesthetics.

I don't know, him referring to political correctness as "the ultimate prejudice" and working from there kind of taints the whole thing (even the points I might actually agree with or at least concede). The most charitable interpretation is that it seems redundant when the feminism-in-movies thread is already covering more or less the same topical ground.
