I miss old ICQ. Uh-Oh! Or uuuuuh, was it MSN MSGR that you could type CTRL + G and it would shake the interface of your chat buddy?

I even started an LLC last year for all this and will eventually get trademarks for my company and artist name.
I have every intention of distributing my music directly to fans through my own website one day. Why give up any percentage when I can sell direct and pocket it all? But that's like 10-15 years off.
Yeah, digital streaming royalties are a joke, so I don't mind a 9% cut. The reason I want to secure all these things now is because if, by some miracle, something was to blow up in the coming years I will already have everything in place to secure my legal control. Also, I intend on leaving the royalties to my sister if I pass before her, and after we are both gone I am going to have the royalties pass to some non-profits (i.e. Epilepsy Foundation of America).
