We still have ours. We used to use our Zip drive as a backup and still have all those disks and the dark blue serial-cable drive, too.

Magnetic tape storage is so groovy. I want to get my own robot storage. Just because

JCPeeney opens at 11 and closes at 7.

Before pandemic, they opened at 9 and closed at 9
The Sam's Clubs were at these stupid early hours even pre-pandemic. I suspect it's even worse now, though. I should probably check before I go next time.
My thing is that my technicians have to complete the fire alarm inspections before the store opens but employees can't show up until 10 to let my techs in. So they have to rush a 2 1/5 hour into less than 1 hour.

I remember like 3-5 good years before DVDs. I even remember when ZIP drives were groovy.
Took some old VHS to get digitized and got a call that they were already done.

Yeah, looks like somebody recorded t.v. over one of those.

Thats what happens when the vcr doesnt work and you cant screen the material. Thats a roll of the dice handing a stranger a tape without a label on it 😬
Im probably just jealous from the days I worked at Costco. We had crazy hours and then Saturdays were a real nightmare, due to their overtime policies and a warehouse manager that ended up dragging down a few careers.

Understandable, but the difference between a grocery store closing at 9:00 PM versus 10:00 PM is pretty big and comes up for us a lot (since I play softball most evenings and we often can't pick up anything on the way home any more).
Walmart delivery. Just sayin'. I paid for a year's worth and it worked out to about $8/month. I "grocery shop" online at 2 a.m. and can have it delivered to the front porch usually the next day. Totally worth it, especially with gas prices. Even better than their pickup service since now I don't even have to drive.

Or try Instacart. I've used them with Aldi a few times with good success.
