Have heard it but don't usually use it. And, is there a variation on this that others might use? There's no "kittywampus," right?

Lena Olin's Mona Demarkov scares me more than Anthony Hopkins Hannibal Lecter.

I've always heard kitty-corner, never heard of catty-corner until just now. But I can't say if that's a regional thing or not?

I had no idea where you were going with "kitty" corner, until ready, "catty." That said, I've only heard it as catty-cornerED. I'm in the southeastern-most orner of good ole countrified Alley Bammy.

Another one: "jury-rigged" versus "jerry-rigged." I use "jury-rigged."

ok, i’m a southeastern then. i’m as far north as you can go and still be southern. it’s like lite lemonade. still tart but with a sickly aftertaste
*Checks location Virginia on a map*
