The Shoutbox
That smoking comparison was gold, dd
Reminds me of medical billing. All the billing mistakes negatively impact the consumer. A service never goes un-billed, benefiting the consumer.

“Oh we overcharged? Enjoy making roughly 10 communications, being bounced around to multiple people, wait 3 months or you can just let us keep that $60 which is less than the value of free time, stress and anxiety you will spend to correct this.”

So yeah. You are never getting over on the man. Enjoy that malware from your adblocker or all the bad stuff you look at with your vpn 🤗

What’s funny is that all the streaming services make no attempt to block multiple users on one account.

🤖Account access from NC, TX, WA and Guam. Perfect. 🤖

I don’t understand, nor would I venture, most fully comprehend the future implications of this information.

If only it were the ocassional advert. My ad blocker blocked over 450 ads in one hour of watching clips on it. Plus here in the UK I pay a TV licence fee so I have already paid for the privilege of watching clips from BBC made programmes.
Are you watching the programmes on a BBC service?
I do not have a qualm about the odd advert but when it ruins the experience with a continual bombardment of them then for me there is no option but to block.
I can understand, but it is part of the service. It’s like saying, “I like smoking, but I’m not gonna do this cancer thing.”
Worry more when you read of people becoming millionaires from death coaching imo.
The number of articles I’ve read about people becoming millionaires from life coaching has also got me questioning the state of the world.

I get the same.
YouTube now is...

15s ad at the start of the vid
Then two 6 second ads at the 15s mark
Then two 6 second ads at the 30s mark
Then two 6 second ads at the 45s mark
Then two 6 second ads at the 60s mark
Then two 6 second ads at the 75s mark

If the video is say, a 10 minute vid... they still to the same thing every 15 seconds, except the ads are 15s long instead of two 6s ads.

YouTube is unbearable now.

I have found a way round them though.
Post the vid link to myself in a PM, in a third party server. Say Facebook messages, or in a PM to myself in Discord... the ads are blocked by the third party.
