You've still got that New User smell.
Hope someone doesn't have a problem with my newness.
I'm sorry, I can't hear you, Dani8. I'm too busy being a delicate genius who would never shake hands let alone quote something YOU wrote! ;P
For me it's a bit annoying if I'm on my mobile to have to scroll over quotes so I'm conscious it annoys other posters. s I said, easier to tag or rep.

See, I havent quoted you there because it might annoy phone users.
What is the deal with replying without quotes? I've done it myself but only by following example. Seems a chance way to communicate that relies on the member checking back on the thread, and an aloof way to conversate
I dont always quote because I dont want to fill the screen with repeating what ws said so I'll rep or tag instead a lot of the time
Oops. One of these days i'll get the hang of MoFoing on this damn touchscreen. Maybe.
rep=pleasant disinterest

lol j/k (?)

It's been that way for at least the eight years that I've been here, though. In some ways it's frustrating because it's more satisfying to get a reply, but at the same time to me it indicates that people are reading the post - it's just that they don't have anything to really say about it. It's better to get reps and not replies than to get no response at all.

After 2 months here, one thing I have noticed is that people will send you rep rather than post a reply. It's nice to receive rep, but it gives the impression in the thread that nobody is reading what you've posted. I've noticed myself doing it too. Instead of taking the trouble to post a reply I just send rep.
