The Shoutbox
And Imagine is a terrible song too
I'm not super clear on what he's done. I'll admit. Which is why I'm confused as to why so many other's are so sure he in fact was a bad guy.

His own son thought he was a sh*tty Dad but barely knew him. Where does this stuff come from?

I don't know, man. Not trying to pick some kind of shoutbox fight over John Lennon. I think the idea of that would actually make him cry.

I'll let him say it, as ultimately I believe it was him saying things like this that got him killed. He was accountable though, I believe that wholeheartedly.

"That is why I am always on about peace, you see. It is the most violent people who go for love and peace. Everything's the opposite. But I sincerely believe in love and peace.

"I am not violent man who has learned not to be violent and regrets his violence. I will have to be a lot older before I can face in public how I treated women as a youngster."

I dunno if this describes your momma, or anyone here, but I think it's too easy to fall in love with someone's art and/or message and start thinking they must be a good person, even though the two are only somewhat related.
Well, if you hadn't heard he'd done those things, it stands to reason you wouldn't have heard people condemn him for them, either, I guess.

I think my summation was pretty neutral. However harsh it sounds is a reflection of the actions.

Beating women and emotionally abusing your young son is pretty harsh too.

Never heard anyone say that before about Lennon. Seems very harsh.

I vaguely recall a story about how he used to pull knives on people at a young age, and one time threatened to pull a knife on his mother, or did pull one on her? I would have to track down that source before making that claim for sure, though.
stop it, stop it!
*plugs ears and hums the soundtrack to E.T. Er... Indiana Jones? WHICHEVER blocks you all out!!!*
