Thankfully, we have hard water here, so if you air dry them they go back to cardboard stiff but now they have the benefit of being a little softer. Sadly it does set the dye so you can’t get those sick wear patterns. That being sad I rarely wash mine: last years pair has only been washed 4 times. Seems to be holding its color pretty well.[/quote]
