Apart from being at odds with the concept of free will, we can say it's crazy because of our many shared experiences that whether or not God exists, He does not invariably heal everyone.

On top of they don't really have any reason to believe it, either. It's not as if their reason was pitted against their faith, because their faith doesn't command them to forego medical care. Unless they're part of some bizarre cult.

To be so discontent and unhappy and lonely about life that your only fear in dying is that reincarnation could end out being true and you'll have to live your life over again.

Very sad.

Why'd you call her a loon? Seems to me the loony is the guy who hired her in the first place...

And PW... Personally I think those parents should be held accountable...
Americans like to put faith on a pedestal. Serious criticism of it in this country is frowned upon, especially if you claim belief in one of the Big Three. Should they be held responsible? Of course. Will they? Doubtful.
In case you missed it. This is what I was going on about in the first place. McClane posted it yesterday and personally I'm not interested in another discussion about "Gettin right with Jesus". the issue here for me is whether or not these parents should be held upside down by their naughty bits for essentially killing their child.

Agreed, but what's to say it's crazy to rely solely on Him if He really is loving and able to do so? There's nothing to say, really. Except logic, reason, and medical experience, of course.

Which I'd fine that hard pressed for any Christian to do.

No, of course not; you never come out and say those sorts of things. But there was the usual, unmistakable implication that such craziness is standard for religion, rather than an abberation.
Bump it like it's hot!

For evidence of this, see: the 99.9% of Christians who go to the doctor.
I never said they were normal Christians.
But I still say Benjamin Franklin said it best: "To Follow by faith alone is to follow blindly."
"Faith in your partner, your fellow men, your friends, is very important, because without it there's no mutual component to your relationship, and relationships are important. So faith plays an important role, but faith in people you don't know, faith in religious or political leaders or even people on stages, people who are popular in the public eye, you shouldn't have faith in those people. You should listen to what they have to say and use it." -Greg Graffin
