Interesting fact... the rate ice is melting across the globe since records began, by the year 2100, barely 90 years from now, the oceans will be close to 1 metre deeper, causing coastal towns and cities to be abandoned because of extreme weather changes...
If 1 metre wasn't bad enough...
The ice in Greenland will melt too, and some of it already has, some of the ice there is over a mile thick... our oceans have risen by a few inches in only the past few years already... over 1mm of depth was added to our oceans in the short space of barely 3 months in 2012...
... and the melting of the Greenland ice will cause the oceans to rise by a devastating 7 metres...
New York will be gone, scrap Florida completely, scrap most of Japan and the land area of Britain will be almost halved.
Judging from the current melting rate of Greenland's ice sheet...
This is predicted to happen by the year 2150... 140 years from now.
