I don't think it was a Chuckwalla. Maybe it was a Mexican Beaded Lizard.
Saw the oddest thing this morning. I'm wheeling my trash and recycle bins back from the curb up my driveway and I spot a tiny movement a few inches away. It's a small rust colored lizard, no more than an inch and a half long. He's got a wide sort of flattened body and a stubby tapered tail with these grey and black bands running down it's length. It looks for all the world like a tiny Gila Monster but I Googled it later and baby Gilas are six inches long when born.

I didn't want to capture it because it looked frightened so I ran in the house to get my phone to take a picture of it but by the time I got back it was gone. It wasn't speckled like grown Gilas. And it sure wasn't a baby frog like I've seen more than once come out of the ground after a rain. And according to Google this is too far East for it to be an actual Gila. I wish I knew what that was.
The only good thing are Sunday nights.

Other than that, night shift is for the birds.
I work nights now. It is bizarre. It's like time travel every single day. Start the day in one day and end the day in the next. Its disorientating...

Prolly not making the set list…
