The Shoutbox
Moreso in the acting, dialogue and story. It’s pretty much a series of gags with a paper-thin plot but I love it.
How is it not a good movie but that funny? It seems like that's the goal of the movie.
Re-watching Dirty Work right now and I can fully identify that this is not a good movie but I have not laughed this hard in ages.
It's just a flesh wound

He definitely had plenty of great stuff after the surgery, but i think at least to some degree people like Rock, Benoit and Angle helped carry him and sell what he was doing. I mean it's not as if Austin was ever one of the best in the ring, he was good but it was more about his persona and seeing him beating people down. I just think he looked really shaky a lot of the time after his return understandably. Think fear could have played a part in it as well, there's a part where Kane i think it is flips him and you can see him slap his shoulder followed by a pause then Austin taking deep breathes like he was really concentrating on landing properly. I'm surprised he even came back.
2001 Stone Cold must be weird, because I remember him being awesome throughout the year including the Mania match with Rock and a bunch of good stuff with the likes of Benoit and Angle, but by the end of the year his neck was shot so he started doing a lot of comedy stuff. I am leaning hard into the free month right now, but I might not have enough time. I wanna get UFC Fight Pass too. We need a few more hours in the day.
Also you could get a free month trial of WWE Network and see if you want to keep it or not.
Alot of the stuff i loved as a kid is cringey now and it's so weird watching it with hindsight and knowledge of like booking and backstage politics that i didn't have a clue about as a young kid. Plenty of it is still fun though. One of the most striking things is how messed up Stone Cold was after his neck surgery, in the 2001/2002 Rumble matches he botches tonnes of stuff and just looks a mess, think i was unable to see that at the age due to how awesome i found him. I mean in the 2001 match that he wins he's only in it for the final six and he somehow botches a Stunner (which Rock saves somewhat with his usual awesome overexaggerated spasming body), a Thesz Press and his selling of a Rock Bottom.

The best performance in a Royal Rumble was definitely Kane in 2001, it's probably the most i ever enjoyed him.
I've been on the verge of getting WWE network to watch some of stuff I watched as a kid to see if I'll still enjoy it. I haven't pulled the trigger on it.
Been watching old Royal Rumble Matches for some reason, they're still entertaining although they all have drab periods. Stuff like Rikishi dancing with 2 Cool was such a powerful blast of nostalgia
